Kraven chooses Darkness.

R1: Cap moves. Lass moves, drops a glyph. Carol moves, avoiding the Darkfield which prevents her from taking the high ground she wants. Angel flies into a pond and drops off Star-Lord on solid ground. Carol impatiently waits, Punisher moves, 3wounds Peter on an all skulls defense roll. Kraven moves. Darkness places a shadow tile and moves on it, misses Carol from range, Darklings move.

R2: Lass moves, unleashes a glyph between her and Carol. Cap moves, misses Darkness, misses a Darkling(2/2shields) and 3wounds Angel. Kraven moves. Darkness places shadow, moves above Carol, but misses, Darklings crown around Darkness. Carol, attacks Darkness(PTA: 8) for 3wounds, Punisher escapes the Darkfield and KOs Angel. Darkness places shadow, 3wounds Carol, fails to wound with ULtD, heals to full. Carol KOs a Darkling, Kraven takes a swipe from a Darkling, attacks Darkness (PTA: 5)for two wounds, (PTA: 8) Darkling destroyed.

R3: Carol wounds Darkness, Kraven bolas Darkness, 2wounds him takes OM3. Darkness fails to Summon(6), places shadow, misses Carol(3/8skulls), heals to full, Darkling avoids a swipe to move next to Darkness. Kraven attacks Darkness(PTA: 4.3) 2wounds him, taking OMX. Darkness fsils to Summon(4), KOs Carol, wounds Kraven(UTD) who attacks Darkness with 4skulls but a Darkling is destroyed instead(PtA: 20), misses.

R4: Lass moves, places last glyph, misses Kraven. Cap moves, KOs Darkling. Darkness Summons(12) a Darkling, obliterates Kraven. Cap moves, misses Darkness who fails to Summon(10), misses Cap, heals to full. Cap KOs a Darkling, misses Darkness.

R5: Darkness fails to Summon(8), 2wounds Cap who misses Darkness who fails to Summon(4), and KOs Cap. Punisher misses a Darkling three times. Darkness Summons(14), places last shadow, moves, misses, Darklings flock to Darkness. Punisher attacks Darkness(PtA: 19, 11), two Darklings destroyed, wounds Darkness who Summons(19), KOs Punisher.

Underestimated what the Darklings bring and they made it real difficult on the enemy.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Darkness: 1wound, Sahdow Lass & Star-Lord: Both fall, Darklings: 1 of 3.

R1: Cap moves. Lass moves, drops a glyph. Carol moves, KOs a Great Evergreen, that wounds Lass. Angel flies into a pond and drops off Star-Lord in front of Shadow Lass. Carol KOs an Evergreen, Punisher moves, KOs a Great Evergreen. Kraven moves. Darkness places shadow, moves into it, wounds Carol, Darklings surround Darkness.

R2: Lass moves, places a glyph on the high road. Cap circles the fountain, KOs two Darklings, attacks Darkness(PTA: 8), for 3 wounds. Kraven moves. Darkness Summons(16) a Darkling, drops shadow, flies into the Darkield, wounds Carol, wounds Carol, Kraven and Punisher with UTD, heals to full, Darklings follow. Carol wounds Darkness(PTD: 4), Kraven moves, Bolas Darkness, 2wounds(PTD: 6) wounds(PTD:2). Darkness lost his OMs to Nerve Punch. Carol attacks Darkness(PTA:13), Darkling destroyed, Kraven attacks Darkness(PTD:18), Darkling destroyed, misses.

R3: Carol wounds Darkness, Angel swoops in and moves Darkness to the high road, Kraven grabs some shadow, misses Darkness twice. Darkness fails to Summon(5), places shadow beneath him, 3wounds Kraven, wounds Carol and Kraven with UTD, fails to heal. Cap moves, KOs Darkness, Angel swoops Star-Lord to where Darkness once stood. Shadow Lass drops a glyph, plunging Punisher and Carol into the Darkfield, flies in and misses Cap. Carol moves to top of the fountain, misses Star-Lord who misseds Kraven.

R4: Cap 4wounds Lass who 3wounds Cap. Carol 2wounds Star-Lord, Kraven misses Peter who wounds Cap. Carol KOs Peter, Angel moves Lass up and retreats to a hill, Kraven blanks out for he second straight time. Lass KOs Cap.

R5: Carol moves down, KOs Lass, Kraven moves, misses Angel. Carol 3wounds Angel who flees, Kraven KOs Angel.

Changed up the strategy and went after the Darklings first. That worked.

R1: Cap moves. Ghidorah moves. Carol moves, KOs an Evergreen. Ghidorah moves, KOs an Evergreen, wounds Cap, 2wounds Carol with GBSA. Carol waits, Darkness does his thing, misses Ghidorah who moves, KOs all Darklings, wounds Cap and Carol.

R2: Ghidorah misses Darkness, 2wounds Darkness, KOs Cap(OM1), wounds Darkness who fails to Summon, places shadow and charges, 2wounds Ghidorah, fails to heal. Ghidorah KOs Darkness, wounds Carol who moves, 2wounds Ghidorah who takes a wound then KOs Carol.

Ghidorah just has so much firepower that he was able to clean house rather quickly.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): King Ghidorah: 5/12 wounds and both Skrulls.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Was worried at first but a changing my strategy to taking out the Darklings first changed my mind. I suppose a more skilled player could do a better job of protecting them but overall I am not too concerned. I would say the points are pretty good. They are just what the Darkness needed.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Fun little imps. Would not be against lowering their rolls by one. I think I had pretty terrible luck with my d20 rolls though I got a few when Darkness needed them. Still really dig the combo with Shadow Lass though you really have to plan out where the Darkfield glyphs go and when they run out you better have most of your own shadow placed and hopefully the Darklings are still somewhat functional.
