No, you could not knock one off a guy into the lava because you can't place glyphs on molten lava. And it's not a change; it's the original lava rules.
I would think for our purposes that you couldn't place one there at the beginning of the game. Valhalla doesn't have Equipment Glyphs getting knocked out of hands. On a map where someone drops in a pool of lava that's 5 spaces on all side of them, there'd be no legal placement for the glyph. Niche case, but better to avoid it, IMO.

C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
