While I agree that the Seahawks should have run, and probably could have done it three times, the idea to throw was supposed to make it fool proof.

However this was the first interception on a play from the 1 yard line this year, compared to two fumble recovered by the defense. The overall success rate was actually better for a pass in that area of the field. Obviously this is all speculative, but still.
