agreed. another thing you run into are extremely long games, and the possibility of player 5 and 6 not even getting a turn. If you had a couple of people target one individual, it could get pretty ugly pretty fast. Either keeping normal formats (1 on 1) or trying to lower the points significantly (about 300) might help make this tourney flow a bit easier for a 'first timer'.
Im not trying to say you couldnt do this tourney, but I really think that a few people could get confused or frustrated with this format.
Just a suggestion, but I think either reduce the points alot so that start zones are smaller (300-325 with maybe 12 or 15 start zone), or drop it down to a 'normal' 1 on 1 tourney. Would even make it go a bit quicker and smoother if done the way everybody is used to.
But again, this is just my 2cents
