That vote was all the way back in 2013, so it's possible a vote today would be different. Lack of minis is still a deterrent (someone has to make the minis for the card pics & make the tutorials for people to follow), but not as big of a deal nowadays. Looking back at the voting thread, the main reasoning at the time was a combination of iffy & constantly changing design ideas, lack of minis, limited comic appearances, and lack of interest in the property.
