Hello there
Here my last two reports (with a lot of delay
)
I let them together because it's interessant to play the same match-up but from the two differents sides
Round 2 summary
Spoiler Alert!
Map: Belly of the Beast
Glyphs: Wannock and Dagmar
Figure tested: Axentia
Agent Ward (me): Stab and burn 'em: 10th Regiment x4, Axentia, Isamu, Bol
Wumpis: The Outsiders Strike Back: Children of the Dark Star x3, Z'Thoth Mouth of the Abyss, Agga-Zemir, Eldgrim
Which units survived?
Axentia (4 lives left after one Phoenix Rising), 5x Reg, Isamu
Summary
Got initiative and start taking map control with some 10th. Childrens come by 5 but I kill some with my 10th. Agga-Zemir force me to play Axentia who go for Agga-Zemir, she hurts herself with immolation but deal 2w on Agga-Zemir with her normal attack.
Round 2 start with 10th who deal one more wound on Agga-Zemir. Childrens surround Axentia and kill her so she come back killing the 3 Children and hurting Agga-Zemir. She finish him with his normal attack.
For the rest of the game I try to harass Z’Thoth with 10th without giving possibility to kill more than one per turn. With this kitting, Wannock and a couple of normal attack from Axentia, Z’Thothfinish to die.
How useful were the units' powers:
Immolation 14: 1/2 on himself, 0/3 on opponent, 0/0 on ally
Phoenix Rising: killed 3 Children and deal 1 w to Agga-Zemir
Round 3 Summary
Spoiler Alert!
Map: Desperado
Glyphs: Yngvild and Ulaniva
Figure tested: Agga-Zemir
Agent Ward (me): The Outsiders Strike Back: Children of the Dark Star x3, Z'Thoth Mouth of the Abyss, Agga-Zemir, Eldgrim
Cuzmo of Gilead: Marcus Rising: Roman Legionnaires x3, Axentia, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Me-Burq-Sa, Marcu Esenwein
Which units survived?
Seven legionnaires
Summary
It was a really long game and perhaps a close one. I fisrt start to move slowly my heroes and children to take control of Ulaniva while Cuzmo open with some Lego and MBS. I finish my round by reaching MBS with Eldgrimm.
I keep initiative to take down MBS with the Childrens. Axentia come in the melee but do nothing with immolation, at least her normal attack is enough to kill Children.
At the round 3, Agga-Zemir did his first SM on Axentia but Marcu engage him with this OM. We enter in a log battle with high resistance figure (outsider heros) and high life phenix and a lot of squad figure.
Each round I put OM1 on Agga-Zemir to try to move one OM then the others on Z’thoth who have a better offensive potential (leaving engagement with Maddening Visage and AoE attack).
Agga-Zemir dis one big attack (4w) on Axentia who will die just after by Z’Thoth but Lego are still numerous and finish by killing Agga-Zemir. Alone, Zthoth kill Marcu and one more Lego before dying.
How useful were the units' powers:
Spreading Madness 7: 5/5 (use 2 times Spirit of the Void).
-One time I had time to kill the unit who receive the OM
-One lego on Marcus
-One Axentia on Marcu who deals 1w on Agga-Zemir
-2 times, X moved
Approaching Doom with Flying were enough to move without more difficulties than a “classic figure”. The most problematic is more his shape than his 4-move. I put Eldgrimm on it but later I understood that I didn’t need him and I should put him on Z’Thoth
Comments
Axentia: I liked him (her?) during the 2 games, he is strong and scare me to send to much unit against. 14 lifes first seems too much but when playing him or against you saw that go really fast. That goes as fast that in these 2 games I didn't find Immolation really impactfull.
Immolation is a really thematic power which seems rarely worth but I think in few match-up against low-attack melee squad (deathravers) it would be more important
Resurection is his big power which can be totally game changer, losing Immolation is a problem only in few match up but coming back to full life and the automatics wounds is always huge. In my first game he killed 3 Childrens and deal 1 w to AggaZemir before doing a 6-dices attack. This is when the balance go on my side I think.
Agga-Zemir: I'm more sceptic for him.
First the figure is nice.
He is hard to place cause of his 4-moves and wings like a lot of huge figure but is 2-moves power completly negate all problem of moving. I played Eldgrimm for him but I didn't use 5 moves cause he already was able to reach battle. You just need to game with other unit.
Spreading Madness: I'm really split on this power. On the first hand I find it really balanced: it is only one by round and the OM is still on a card, it could be useless if you reach the X, it could be a good change for the opponent, it could be useless against 1-card army. On the other hand I see The Varja, Spiders, Dünd, Mastermind Flyer thing which have a stronger impact on OM control, especialy the Varja which is far better against squad than Agga-Zemir.
Moreover that SM is bad against squad army, after that power Agga-Zemir suffer from the comparaison with the other Outsider: Z'Thoth. Z'Thoth is really good and versatible, he is able to kill 3-figure a round. During my 2nd game I only place one OM on AZ to use his Spreading Madness and after it was only for Z'Thoth. In the first game, the same Z'thoth were a lot more impactfull and scaredme more than Agga-Zemir.
I hope my English is understandable and if you have question on what I wanted to mean or to develop don't hesitate to ask me.
