Re: Frostgrave, Halo Ground Command and other tabletop minis

I started painting my Iron Inquisition set of pirates which look a bit more like Spanish conquistadors. There are a total of 41 models in their crew. Their overall theme is holy conquistadors that punish the enemy and heal themselves . Their deck of cards is one of the most punishing to your opponent. On top of that, in their 3rd ability slot on every one of their hero cards there is a free action, in which most cases is pretty good. To frame it up nicely, about 1 in 8 heroes of all the other faction heroes and mercenaries have a free action, and all 11 of their heroes have 1. This makes them incredibly hard to beat. After painting these guys and 35 models of a Viking crew I’ll just have smaller boosters of heroes to paint for this game. Rum and bones second tide has a really great piratey feel to it. The best it can be described as is a boarding clash of two crews like the pirates of the Caribbean movies. The the crews have their own flavor of play with the tide cards you can play for extra shenanigans and the heroes all do their individual things. How I plan on using them for ghost archipelago would be using the deckhands and bosuns as the grunts and using the different heroes as the heritor, warden, and specialists. With 9 full crews and a stack of mercenary hero boxes, you could use the rum and bones figures for all the crew for everyone’s warbands. Super fun.
