Unit Summary
Damage: 0 with normal attack.
Abilities: Boosted 2 attacks. Grenade used 2 times: 2 wounds dealt, 5 wounds dealt.
Spoiler Alert!
Round 1 – Combat starts quick here, as Wolverine gets a wound on Uncle Sam. Sgt Rock responds in kind like the war hero he is, successfully hitting both Whirlwind and Wolverine for a wound a piece with a grenade. BS gets 2 further wounds on Wolverine. Wolverine can’t crack the Spirit of American Pride he’s locked in combat with.
Round 2 – Deadpool puts 3 wounds on BS. Cap wounds Whirlwind and Bucky takes a swipe to get in Machine gun range. Professor X quickly regrets not blocking this, as Bucky wounds him, Deadpool, and Wolverine in one barrage. Professor X has to reposition to better protect the X Men, which pays off when Uncle Sam rolls 6 skulls, which Professor X blocks. BS survives a barrage from Deadpool, and Bucky goes down to Wolverine. A well placed Pinneapple grenade does 3 wounds to Wolverine and 1 to both Deadpool and Professor X. BS shows off his might, killing Wolverine, getting Deadpool down to 1 life remaining, and then healing up with his nanites.
Round 3 – Mutants start the round, knocking BS down to 1 life remaining. Cap rolls 2 skulls on a shield throw at Professor X. The Professor doesn’t risk the attack, and Psychically blocks it. Whirlwind wounds Cap twice, but doesn’t scratch others. BS goes down to a hail of gunfire from Deadpool. Rock takes 2 wounds from Whirlwind. Sgt Rock can’t scratch Whirlwind, but Cap is able to take out Professor X.
Round 4 – Soldiers start the round, and a Sgt Rock inspired punch from Cap knocks Deadpool right on his rear, dealing the 4 wounds necessary to take him out. Uncle Sam knocks Whirlwind out of it.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Soldiers win. Sgt Rock, Captain America, and Uncle Sam all with 2 wounds.

Round 1 – Combat starts fast, but no wounds are dealt here on a failed grenade.
Round 2 – Mutant initiative, Bucky is hurt, then Cap punches Whirlwind. Mutants take out Bucky. Rock charges the Canadian scum Wolverine, but fails to hurt him. This opens up BS to charge as the tip of the spear, who puts 3 wounds on Wolverine. Rock takes 3 wounds from Wolverine. Whirlwind blasts the soldiers about, dealing 1 wound each to Rock, BS, and Cap. Uncle Same puts Wolverine on the Brink of death.
Round 3 – Mutants win this crucial initiative. Whirlwind can’t kill Rock, but Wolverine puts 4 wounds on Uncle Sam. Sgt Rock skips his attack to not risk a psychic block, so that BS can charge down Wolverine, but he only puts one wound on Wolverine. Rock is killed by Domino. Wolverine is again knocked within 1 wound before going wild and killing BS.
Round 4 – Mutants win again. Wolverine botches the first attack, but next turn Whirlwind blasts Cap into the water, and Wolverine goes wild on him.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Mutants win. Wolverine 4 wounds (a TON healed this game), Whirlwind 2 wounds, Jubilee, Domino, Professor X unwounded.
_____________________________________________________________ THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Nice soldier synergy. He supports Unique soldiers well, but I’d wager he’s going to be a better leader for squads, which I think is great from a theme standpoint. Lot of fun playing him. The grenade is cool, but does work a bit against him wanting to be engaged. Game 2 featured a horrific inability to put down Wolverine, with him being an inch from death like 4 times and that DEFINITELY cost the soldiers there.
