Spoiler Alert!
- THEME TEST/ Definitely gets the feel of a fast car.
- MIRROR TEST/ Nothing I saw here.
- BONDING TEST/ No problems.
- SYNERGIES TEST/ As far as I can see, it is anti-synergy, except maybe with the Legion, who just feel weird driving a sports car.
- POWER CHECK/ Nothing I saw here.
- FUN TEST/ Fail. At this price, the car was just a pain in all honesty. The amount of work to use and keep the car is too much for not enough payoff.
- FUN COMPETITIVE TEST/ Given how easy the car is to steal, yeah it’d be fun to play against.
- DRAFTING TEST/ Couldn’t really find much of a team that it felt like it was an active benefit to, especially with the high number of fliers in the game.
- USAGE TEST/ I tried to make use of the car as much as I could, but maybe got 3 successful rams with it.
- STRATEGY TEST/ If you aren’t using movement powers to get in the car, you are wasting turns, and that is absolutely frustrating.

Army Test
Map: Grundy’s Grave
Units: Cable, Deadpool, Domino, Killer Bee, Sports Car VS Karate Kid, Cosmic Boy, Colossal Boy, Wildfire
Unit Summary
Damage: 2 wounds dealt
Abilities: Hit and run attempted 4 times
Spoiler Alert!
Round 1 – Armies move up. Killer Bee and Domino get in the car. Wildfire flies up and gets 1 wound each on Deadpool and Cable. Deadpool heals that wound.
Round 2 – Domino manages to ram Wildfire for one wound on him and the car, but gets thrown away by Cosmic Boy when she tries to attack. Wildfire puts 2 wounds on Deadpool and 1 more on Cable. Karate Kid fails to wound Domino, who jumps away into the car. Cable, across 2 turns manages to finish off Wildfire (thanks to a defensive whiff against a 4 skull roll), and Karate Kid gets a wound on the car. Cable also gets Colossal Boy for 1 wound. However, Cable whiffs a defensive roll, dying to Colossal Boy and Cosmic Boy gets two wounds on Deadpool, one of which Deadpool heals.
Round 3 – Legion takes the crucial initiative here. Colossal Boy gets a wound on Deadpool, who, because he was locked in engagements, dies to a Magnetic Throw Defense from Cosmic Boy. Karate Kid wounds the car. Domino fails to successfully ram, and takes 2 wounds from Karate Kid. Karate Kid manages to wound Domino, who uses that to jump back in the car. Losing Deadpool costs the Mercs turn 3.
Round 4 – Domino manages to ram Karate Kid for 1 damage, but Karate Kid responds killing the Car. Cosmic Boy shows up and kills the Bee, and Domino is killed on the counterstrike from Karate Kid
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Legion wins with 0 wounds on Cosmic Boy, 1 wound on Colossal Boy, and 3 wounds on Karate Kid.
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Having to lose an attack to get in the car hurts. Given it requires a turn taken, and almost all C3G turn bonding requires Order Markers, the car doesn’t slide in easy anywhere, and actively works against synergy. You basically have to draft a low-cost babysitter with the car if you want to use it with heroes. It may work better with squads. I don’t know.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I really want to like the car. But rules as is, its more of a chore at this point cost than anything. I hate the amount of focus and investment it takes to try and not lose your 150 point thing.
