Re: Ronin's Danger Room Workshopping Thread

The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Avengers Assemble set.
Its model numbers and name are #023 / Veil.
NAME = VEIL
SECRET IDENTITY = MADELINE BERRY

SPECIES = MUTATE
UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO
CLASS = STUDENT
PERSONALITY = SELF-DOUBTING

SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5

LIFE = 4

MOVE = 6
RANGE = 1
ATTACK = 3
DEFENSE = 4

POINTS = ???

GASEOUS FORMS
At the start of the game, place a Glyph of Gas: Sleeping Gas, a Glyph of Gas: Poison Gas and a Glyph of Gas: ??? symbol-side up into a Glyph Pool and set them aside. Before taking a turn with Veil, you may choose one of these glyphs and place it power-side up on this card. While one of these glyphs is power-side up on this card, that glyph affects opponents' figures on the battlefield as if it were on the space occupied by Veil. At the end of the round or the next time you reveal an Order Marker on a card you control, place that glyph symbol-side up in the Glyph Pool.

INCORPOREAL
Opponents' figures must be adjacent to Veil to attack her with a normal or special attack. Veil is never attacked when leaving an engagement.

CLINGY
After a figure ends its movement, if that figure was adjacent to Veil during its movement, you may immediately place Veil adjacent to that figure, if possible.

FLYING

NAME = GLYPH OF GAS: POISON GAS
SUBTITLE = POISON EFFECT

PERMANENT GLYPH

When a figure ends its turn on or within 2 spaces of this glyph, the player that controls that figure must roll the 20-sided die, even if this glyph is unoccupied. If that player rolls 9 or lower, that figure takes a wound. Androids and Constructs are not affected by this Glyph. At the end of the round, if the Glyph of Gas: Poison Gas is on the battlefield, remove it from the game.

Bio - Maddy is one of the teens recruited into the Initiative by Norman Osborn that was eventually rescued by the Avengers and recruited into Hank Pym's Avengers Academy. She became a superhero under the moniker of Veil. She had the ability to transform her body into any naturally-occurring gas, but at a high price: her powers were eventually going to kill her as her body lost cohesion and dissolved completely. Hank Pym managed to slow the rate at which her powers were killing her, but he couldn't solve the problem completely. Maddy eventually had her powers removed and reluctantly returned to being a normal student.

Notes - Finally getting around to posting the second Avengers Academy student after Hazmat.

I'd like another idea for a gas here, but I'm not sure what to go with. She's only supposed to be able to replicate naturally-occurring gases, so Fear Gas seems like it should be out and I'd really like a third.

Incorporeal is off Fire and Clingy is, of course, off Ragdoll. Clingy gives her a lot of efficiency and I might go for a pared-back version (maybe only letting it work while there's a gas glyph on her card?) if necessary to keep her cost down. It feels like a cool effect for a sentient gas, though.
