Re: The Book of Speed - Danger Room Testing
C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM
NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Speed
Army Test
Map: Custom
Units: Speed @170, Stature, Hawkeye (II), Noh-Varr (750) vs Scandal Savage, Catman, Bane, Black Alice (750)
___________________________________________________________
Army Test
Map: Custom
Units: Speed @160, Stature, Hawkeye (Kate), Noh-Varr, Captain America (C3G), Rover (1120) vs Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Red Robin, Superboy (Kon-El), Jesse Quick (1120)
Spoiler Alert!
Speed jumps into Reluctantly Avenge Noh-Varr and gets an augmented attack in, but fails to do any damage. He does manage to engage Superboy and thereby prevent him from using Titan Protector a couple times, though, which is big.
He doesn't get to Avenge Hawkeye because she goes down without OMs on her card and there's no way for Speed to get a turn in before the end of the round. As for Stature, she ends up going out on the very last turn of a round.
After that, he doesn't get too involved until the endgame, at which point he has to mix it up with Raven. He almost gets her, winning a critical initiative to get two turns in a row and have a shot at dispatching her, as she's at 4 Life. Unfortunately for him, she comes up with three shields on defense to stay in the game and Soul Self him to death. Slightly anti-climactic finish, but there's no shame in a single-attacking Hero losing to Raven.
Unit Summary: - Damage Done (Normal Attack): 2 wounds to Raven in 2 attacks
- Reluctant Avenger: inherited a 3 from Noh-Varr, Superboy's Defese down 1 for SA (no wounds dealt)
- Superspeed: used for movement throughout
- Molecular Destabilization: 0 wounds to Superboy in 1 attack
- Damage Taken: 2 wounds in 2 attacks from Raven, 2 wounds from Soul Self (destroyed)
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Raven with 3 wounds, Red Robin unwounded
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Ran a couple more games, since we're a little short on testers. Like LO, I think he could easily get a soft bump down to 160. His value will go up as more Rookies come out, but he can be a little finicky to use.
