I mean, the Mutants are pretty good counter build here, so the results aren’t really shocking, but they do show that auto-wounders can really tear apart this build.

Gorgon died very early in the second round, but he got one attempt at Gaze of Stone where he hit a natural 20 on Valkyrie and knocked her out right away. After that, Magneto defended Stewart's first two attacks, and that was all Mags was going to give him, failing only twice with Magnetic Assault and wiping out the other side quickly and methodically.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): R5T2: Magneto with 1/5 wounds, Destiny with 3/6 wounds, Sage and Shadowcat unwounded.

Cash was one-shotted by Iron Patriot right off the bat, with 3 skulls against 0 shields. That was only his first attack, and he hit Red Skull with the second one to knock away the Cube. Skull scrambled to get it, but he couldn’t hold it for long and died early in the second round. Martian Manhunter rolled somewhat poorly on both attack and defense, so he didn’t last long against the combo of Surfer and Patriot.

This time I played Cash a little more carefully, and Initiative going to Patriot meant that Army Two couldn’t attack until OM3. Surfer once again one-shotted Cash, but that meant Skull still had the Cube going into Round Two. An Initiative win for Army One let Skull move Patriot lower with the Cube and hit him for two wounds, activating Manhunter to put the final two wounds on him. This cost Army Two 2 OMs and gave Skull and Manhunter a couple turns against Surfer.

Surfer did manage to knock out Skull in the Third round, but his attacks against Manhunter were weak, and MM rolled very well (5/6 skulls one attack, 6/6 the next).

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: The major swing in results from the last set of tests is largely due to the quality of army that Cash’s side faced this time, but I think it also shows that the changes were good ones. He’s still very good (cheap woundsoaks always are), but he’s not nearly as broken as he was before, and I think we’re on the right track.
