TEST 1
Units: Beach Head @130 & War Machine (400) vs. Lex Corp Security x2 & Wizard (400)
This one didn’t tell me much as Beach Head never fired a shot. Wizard took 4W from War Machines Chain Gun and died right away, War Machine whiffed on defense and died soon after that. The LCS then won initiative, flew to HG and killed Beach Head.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 2 LCS won on OM1, R2.
TEST 2
Units: Beach Head @130 & War Machine (400) vs. Lex Corp Security x2 & Wizard (400)
The Soldiers were just overmatched in this one, LCS could stay out of range of War Machines Auto Chain Gun and still hit him, while Wizard was rolling 6 att. dice when adj. and able to block a good attack roll each round. Beach Head fired on the LCS but their 5 def. + count one blank was too good for his 4 att. Full bonding also trumps bonding once per round.

TEST 3
Units: Beach Head @140 & Comedian (300) vs. Green Arrow & Red Arrow (300)
Team Arrow outranged the Soldiers and just hammered them as they tried to get into position. The +1 move helped here though where it really had no effect when paired up with the 6 move flying War Machine.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Red Arrow w/1W won on OM1, R3.
TEST 4
Units: Beach Head @140 & Comedian (300) vs. Green Arrow & Red Arrow (300)
After the initial move, I held Beach Head back this time and rushed Comedian forward to engage Red Arrow. Comedian rolled some pretty good defense and that allowed him to eventually take Red Arrow out. Green Arrow rolled a 1 for one attack, losing that attack as a result & Beach Head had joined the fight by then and was able to take him out with a series of attacks.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Comedian w/2W & Beach Head @ full life won on OM3, R3.
TEST 5
Units: Beach Head @150 & Rocket Red (300) vs. Crimson Dynamo & Deadshot (300)
Deadshot made sure to stay back and snipe them while Dynamo was engaged and kept them away from Deadshot as a result. Comparing all these 150 point cards to Beach Head and I don’t think he is quite at their level. I don’t even think the rematch is needed so I’m going to change teams for the next test.

TEST 6
Units: Beach Head @135 & Snake Eyes @235 (370) vs. Batman/250 & Robin/120 (370)
Batman & Robin started out trying to stay 4 spaces away from Snake Eyes and dealing some wounds, then switched gears and went after Beach Head, taking him out. They eventually ended up engaged Snake Eyes though and fell to him.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Snake Eyes w/3W won on OM2, R3.
TEST 7
Units: Beach Head @135 & Snake Eyes @235 (370) vs. Batman/250 & Robin/120 (370)
Batman’s shurikens proved pretty effective and his shadow strike kicked in on back to back attacks to take down Snake Eyes. He then took out Beach Head who didn’t have any OMs to fight back with.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman @full life won on OM3, R2.
TEST 8
Units: Beach Head @135 & Roadblock @160 (295) vs. Crime Alley Crooks x2, Gentlemen Ghost (295)
Beach Head finally had a chance to shine in this one, taking out a bunch of the 3 def. Crooks. The Roadblock team up seemed to be working really well. However, once only the Ghost was left they could not target him at range and found it difficult to move adj. to him. The Ghost kept on moving and attacking until finally taking the two soldiers out. I’m not going to run the rematch here as I suspect it will be a very similar result with the Crooks getting wiped out but then not able to chase down the Ghost before he kills them. Time to see how he does when given more allies to bond with and I’m ready for a new map.

- Give a brief overview. An alternate reality Civil War where CA & Iron Man are on the same side of the registration act and trying to bring the Hulk and his friends in. Beach Head has lots of bonding options and CA is there to boost his stats up to see how that works out.

Recap: The Soldiers got off to a real bad start when both Iron Man and CA whiffed on their first def. rolls of the game to take 3W each from Spidey. Iron Man made just one attack roll on Spidey to no effect before being finished off by Black Panther while CA continued rolling poorly on def. and died after his second def. roll without doing anything at all. Black Widow claimed the +2 Def. glyph and that just cemented the victory in stone as Ws were hard to inflict after that. I think the +2 Def. glyph is just too good here and needs to be swapped out for the 2nd game. Beach Head & Roadblock both did okay though. I noticed that Beach Head’s bonding has a draw back in the fact that he always goes first, so CA could not stick with him and boost his attack like I was thinking he would. Plus Spidey pulled them apart. I also decided that an aura of 6 for his +1 move is a little too big so I’m going to cut it back to an aura of 4 going forward. Roadblock had some big misses with his M60, but also did some damage with it, and his auto shield on def. was certainly helpful in this one.

- Give a brief overview. Keeping CA adj. to Beach Head didn’t work too well so now I’m switching it up to the other CA so that he might get the bonus while not adj. The soldiers are tasked with bringing a gang of criminals in. I’m thinking I may end up changing some of the wording on Beach Head’s card before this test too.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? 1 Lex Corp Security, Rhino w/4W, Doc Ock w/3W, & Ghost @full life in SZ won.
Recap: Beach Head tried to go around back of the Apt. Building so he could quickly get up onto the roof while still being able to see CA, but the criminals did not let that plan play out. Doc Ock also went around back to the Apt. Building and easily killed Beach Head so his impact on the game was very limited. He did help War Machine with a move boost that let him set up in a prime spot for his Chain Gun though. War Machine rolled good def. dice and aided by CA def. boost was hard to dislodge, but Doc Ock boosted attack eventually broke through and took him out. Snake Eyes and CA took the def. glyph away from the criminals. Gung-Ho joined the fight late and met a similar fate to BH when Doc Ock came over and started beating on him. He did last long enough to get two attacks in of his own but was blocked both times. Snake Eyes was stuck holding down the glyph, which prevented him from going after the last LCS and ending the attack bonus he was giving out or taking on Doc Ock and ending him as a threat.
