Re: The Book of Solomon Kane - Design Phase
Okay, here's a pair of games for Kane. In the first one, working with Enchantress, he did crazy good, but this seems due to the boost from Enchantment and because he wasn't attacked for the early part of the game (in the end, his team lost). In the second game he didn't do nearly as well, but did land a crucial two wounds on Booster Gold to finish him off, which I believe allowed his team to pull out the win.
Overall, I really like Kane. He's simple but fun and fills a nice role. I think 150 is just about right for his cost.
My one concern, though, is that he'll be drastically overshadowed by Swordsman. For only 10 more points, Swordsman offers you 5 attack and Swordplay, which Kane can only get through Righteous Retribution. On top of that, Swordsman also has Counterstrike, a strong SA, and synergies.
Also, I ran into an interesting question with Righteous Retribution: what happens when the figure with Kane's marker on its card dies for a different reason? Currently, Kane would lose his marker permanently, but that seems weird thematically.

- Give a brief overview. Kane got to do a lot this game. With Enchantress and Deadpool absorbing attacks, Kane went through most of the battle without getting attacked, allowing him to pick off all the enemies on the edge of the battle. Swordplay with Enchantment was nice, and the one turn I got to use Righteous Retribution it really paid off.

QUICK GAME SUMMARY:
Both teams used the first round just to position. Half-way through the second round, Deadpool sniped Shocker for 3 wounds; unfortunately, this turned out to be a terrible move for Enchantress's team. With Shocker sitting at only one life, Enchantress chose not to use Soul Swap on him in the second round, which allowed Shocker to knock both Enchantress and Deadpool off the castle to be swarmed by Crooks. In the third round, Enchantress was able to escape back to the castle with just a couple life left and end Shocker's spree; it was too late for Deadpool, though, and the Crooks finished him off (at this point Kane placed his Retribution Marker on the Crooks). To negate some of Enchantress's Soul Swapping power, Catwoman sneaked around the battle and killed Beast Boy. In response, Enchantress activated Kane, who dealt Catwoman 5 wounds with a volley of Swordplay attacks. A lucky attack from a Crook brought Kane down to 1 life, but through careful positioning, Kane was able to stay alive for quite awhile longer and began whittling away at the enemy. At the end of the fifth round Enchantress went down, and with no bigger targets left on his team, Kane was quick to follow. Kid Flash stuck around for a couple rounds, consistently taking down a Crook per turn, but he too eventually fell.

- Give a brief overview. Kane didn't last too long this game, but he did get in one crucial turn where, boosted by Righteous Retribution, he finished off Booster Gold. If he hadn't finished Booster Gold off at this point his team would have likely lost, but as it happened his team very narrowly pulled out the win.

QUICK GAME SUMMARY:
With Team Temporal taking initiative in the first round and exploiting Iron Patriot's weakness, Kane's team was left in disarray in the first round. Hawkeye and Kang tag-teamed and rushed towards their enemy on the first OM, quickly taking down some Cops. An initiative switch allowed Patriot to get his team in position and he quickly took down Hawkeye. They then began to close in on Kang, but Kang escaped back to his base via using Time Warp on Booster Gold's glyph which had been recently placed; as a parting gift just before disappearing, Kang blasted Patriot for 3 wounds. Booster Gold opened the third round, charging and wounding Patriot again. Patriot fled back to his teammates and shot up Booster Gold for two wounds; then, using Master Motivator, commanded Kane to charge into melee and use Righteous Retribution to finish off Booster Gold. Following Oracle's directions, Kang jumped back into the battle at this point and easily eliminated the badly positioned Solomon Kane. Despite Patriot's best efforts, Kang was able to move in and finish him off. In a rage, Bane charged in, and after a good attack, used Back Breaker to destroy Kang. Getting cocky, Bane closed in on the last of his enemies, but through bad dice he was the one who fell. For a couple rounds Oracle and Arnim Zola put up a good fight against the lawmen, but things were looking desperate. Then, after Oracle had been finished off and Arnim was down to just one life, Cloning finally kicked in and brought back Kang. Kang quickly dispatched the last of the lawmen and moved in on Emma Frost. On of his early attacks penetrated Emma's defenses and dealt her three wounds, but after that Emma's defenses became indomitable. After a grueling and long battle, Emma came out on top over Kang, and after that Arnim Zola was easy to beat down for the win.
