Re: Heroes of Ninja Turtle 'Scape.

Since the Classic testing has been slow to come in I went ahead and ran another test today.

- Give a brief overview. A 500 point themed melee army vs. 500 point themed melee army on a wide open map. Epic thrown down to commence in 3, 2, 1........

Map: X Marks the Spot (C3G Map w/o the glyphs though)
Units: TMNT (500) vs. Steamroller featuring Crixus (500)

Spoiler Alert!

Recap
: Map allowed the two 500 point melee armies to just charge at each other and throw down. I left the Team-Up glyph off as I think glyphs in tests are a bad idea as they can swing the results quite a bit. The TMNT needed the Team-Up Glyph badly though as they just could not compete with the 4/4 bonded squad. First an att. of 6, followed up by 3 att. of 4 was too much for those shells to handle and the TMNT dropped rather quickly as a result. They did make good use of Sewer Stealth though to get after Sparty right away rather than being bogged down with the troops. They then dropped Sparty in just 2 att., taking away the inspiration and dropping the squad back down to 3/3. However, it was too little too late as Mickey & Don were already gone by then while Leo & Ralph then fell to an OM3 reveal followed up by an OM1 reveal combo. In retrospect, having the TMNT just charge ahead was a bad idea. The only real chance they had at winning would have been for them to move over by the warehouse ruin where they could have forced the squads into a single file bottleneck. Also since Ralph had the only ranged attack in the game, he should have climbed up a ladder and tried to kill as many Glads as he could from range while they were forced to move up the ladder and confront him one at a time. Of course the Glads could have refused to fall into either one of those traps and just stayed out in middle of the street.
