There is nothing but quiet in the deep dark cave. A red light flashes, steady and silent, when a man - a boy, really - in red drops in. He realizes quickly that, despite the stillness, he is not alone.
"Hey. Dick," he says, speaking as a child in a church. "I came here as soon as I could."
The other Robin sits pensively, taller and darker. His hands are folded, his face is troubled. He makes eye contact briefly, but his glance flits away immediately. "Alfred's bringing coffee. He'll be back soon."
"Good," says Drake. "I... it'll be good to see him. Did anyone else get the call?"
He shakes his head as his comrade takes a seat beside him. "I don't think so. I thought Matt or Dinah might have, maybe even Helena, but if they did, they haven't shown up..." His voice trails into the nigh-iconic sound of footsteps and the clink of china-on-tray. Alfred Pennyworth, somber but stoic, places a mug before each of the boys.
"I am very glad to see you've arrived, Master Tim," he says with a small bow. "I rather doubt anyone else will be attending, and so I've taken the liberty of queuing the video." He motions to the screen before them, titanic in scale, which flickers into the visage of Bruce Wayne, in cape and cowl, speaking through time and space.
He pauses, then sighs, before beginning.
"You have reason to believe the worst has happened. It likely has. If I am not dead, I am in no position to continue the fight. And so I leave it to you - the people I trust most - to watch over Gotham in my stead."
Again, he is quiet for a moment, not for sympathy or suspense, but from an uncharacteristic overwhelmedness.
"And I can say with some certainty that the worst is still ahead. Any day now the floodgates will break, and the deluge will not stop. The months ahead will be long - things will get worse before they get better. Cultures will clash. The nation itself may be brought to its knees. The gods themselves will stumble. And I have reason to believe all of this is only a harbinger of the darkness to come. I cannot stress this enough - the year ahead will be bigger than anything you've ever seen."

Bane nods.
"It is done. He did not resist."
Ra's al-Ghul strokes his chin, nodding considerately. "Very well then. I presume his birds have received their message?"
"The alarm sounded when I left. They are sure to arrive shortly."
"Good. All is in order."
The Demon rises, his cloak sweeping behind him. "I will leave you to it, then. I have a meeting to attend." He leaves, and the outlaw soon follows suit.

"The fight is going to be a long one," says the Bat to the camera. "So I need you to lead the charge. But you need every hand on deck. Every man out of the barracks. You need an army."
The click of a lighter breaks the stillness of the cave, and the trio turn to see a man in a brown trench coat take a long slow drag. The Commissioner speaks.
"You've got one."
