Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 80.
- Give a brief overview. He feels most competitive with other figures at 80, but we’ll have to see if Army tests make him feel less valuable or not, given his troubled relationship with Vigilantes.
Spoiler Alert!
TEST 1
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Alfred (60)
Alfred got in the first shot with his trusty shotgun, but once Robin grappled to height and started tossing bat-a-rangs, he was too deadly a shot for the butler.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin with 1 Wound wins Turn 5, Round 1.
TEST 2
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Alfred (60)
This time Robin gets the first shot off and it’s enough to topple poor Alfred.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin with Full Life wins Turn 3, Round 1.
TEST 3
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Krypto (80)
Robin couldn’t compete with Krypto’s flying, move number, or attack rolls here. Robin got only two attacks in, whiffed on one, and only hit one skull on the other (which got a wound on Krypto). Krypto also got an initiative switch for Round 2.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Krypto with 1 Wound wins Turn 1, Round 2.
TEST 4
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Krypto (80)
This time Robin gets the first shot in, from height, and his attack rolls beat out Krypto’s overall. The two seem very evenly matched in a fight, though I fear Krypto may prove a better sidekick.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin with 1 Wound wins Turn 5, Round 1.
TEST 5
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Speedy (Mia) (80)
Speedy grabbed a small height first, and hit Robin for one wound (he whiffed on defense against one skull). Then Robin gained height, positioning himself for a nasty future attack, but Speedy countered with her Diamond Tipped Arrows and hit both skulls, taking Robin out before he could attack.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Speedy with Full Life wins Turn 3, Round 1.
TEST 6
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Speedy (Mia) (80)
Robin prevailed here despite poor defensive rolls that let up wounds to a 2 skull and 1 skull roll (on height for both defensive rolls). Deadly Shot from height helped him keep up, though, though Speedy was a second skull away on her Diamond Tipped Arrows from taking him down again. She never quite got into close combat.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin with 2 Wounds wins Turn 5, Round 1.
TEST 7
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Cap’n Boomerang (90)
Robin just rolled poorly all around here (though he did block Cap’n’s first attack, before Returning Boomerang secured two wounds). His only attack was a weak one skull from height. Cap’n Boomerang finished Robin on his first attack of his second turn.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Cap’n Boomerang with Full Life wins Turn 4, Round 1.
TEST 8
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Cap’n Boomerang (90)
Only two attacks here and they were nasty. Robin got height early, and rolled 2 skulls on his attack, which doubled thanks to Deadly Shot. Cap’n only blocked one, but his first attack back was a 4 skull roll, only one of which Robin blocked from height.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Cap’n Boomerang with 3 Wounds wins Turn 4, Round 1.
TEST 9
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Robin (100)
Robin (Dick) actually held height more here thanks to Acrobatic Maneuver moving him out of conflict and onto height. This gave him the extra offensive boost he needed to match his defensive advantage.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin (Dick Grayson) wins with 2 Wounds, Turn 4, Round 2.
TEST 10
Map: Custom
Units: Robin vs. Robin (100)
Damian held height early in this game and it went into Round 2 tied with 2 wounds on each Robin. In a key initiative roll, Damian wins, but Dick dodges his deadly shots, flipping up to even height. Damian can’t dodge the original Robin’s biff, wham, and pow, and that’s all she wrote.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Robin (Dick Grayson) wins with 2 Wounds, Turn 2, Round 2.

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 70?
- Give a brief overview. Robin might’ve held up to the Street Thugs if they didn’t have a constant concrete/asphalt bonus, but no multiple attack and not that much survivability makes him weak against squads in general.

Units: Robin vs. Street Thugs x1 (75)

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes.
- What should be the unit's point value? 90?
- Give a brief overview. Without their bonding, the Ninja aren’t worth nearly as much, but Robin handled them well here.

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes?
- What should be the unit's point value? 70?
- Give a brief overview. Hard to say – this was a whole team failure for the Vigilante/Sidekicks. They stunk it up from the get go.
Map: Custom
Units: Batman (200), Robin (80), Robin (120), Alfred (60), Spoiler (50), Speedy (Roy) (90), Aqualad (60), Wonder Girl (140) (800) vs. Hand Ninja x3 (255), Lady Shiva (175), Man-Bat Assassins (150), Talia (110), Typhoid Mary (110) (800)

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 80+
- Give a brief overview. Having multiple Vigilantes and a small map doesn’t just mean that it’s not necessarily bad (tactically) for Robin to get sent back to the startzone, sometimes it’s actually nice, because you can run him into enemy territory, and after he does his damage, he escapes for a while (since he’s pretty glass jawed, that can be a nice boon! Especially, I imagine, with Alfred helping him out).
Map: Custom
Units: Batman (250), Robin (80), Huntress (170), Oracle (110), Black Canary (190), Green Arrow (150), Spoiler (50) (1,000) vs. Hugo Strange (155), Poison Ivy (165), Joker (190), Harley Quinn (130), Firefly (120), Arkham Inmates x4 (240) (1,000)
Spoiler Alert!
This was done on a small, mostly concrete and asphalt map, so in retrospect, Poison Ivy wasn’t a great choice, and she was never actually activated as a result. Batman brought the Bat-Grapple, Bat Shurikens, and Emergency First Aid Kit, all of which he used (healing one wound, hopping around, and tossing Shurikens at Arkham Inmates). The Inmates really benefitted from Hugo Strange early on, moving en masse, and then getting mutated by him in Round 2, doing a bunch of damage, including finishing off Black Canary. With Black Canary gone (she’d helped clear a bunch of Inmates, as did Green Arrow, while Robin only managed to miss his chances from height), Huntress took over, and Robin still activated and attacked with Bat Brat, until the second turn he attacked and wounded Hugo Strange, which took Strange down before the Inmates could get their third mutated turn in.
Robin went back to the startzone, where Batman, Oracle, Green Arrow, and Spoiler were still resting, along with a couple of Inmates who’d charged ahead, and Huntress continued her onslaught on remaining Inmates. The Inmates took out Green Arrow.
Batman was activated soon, though, taking out the Inmates who got to the startzone with Oracle’s help and his Shurikens, then Robin used Bat Brat to charge back down the map. Huntress moved back to extend her range and allow Robin bonding anew, hitting Ivy with her Crossbow. But just as Robin had closed in to attempt more damage on the remaining villains, Firefly and Harley (with her bomb) tag-teamed and took down Huntress and Robin, ending the round.
From there, Joker, Poison Ivy (with 5 wounds), Harley, and Firefly took on Batman (with one wound from an Inmate that he quickly healed with his Emergency First Aid), Oracle (unwounded, and Spoiler (unwounded). Oracle helped ensure initiative and her auto-skulls along with Batman’s Shurikens really helped take it to Harley (2 wounds), as did his Shadow Strike (1 wound – he went 2 of 4 overall) but she slipped away and did 2 quick wounds on Oracle. The wounded Firefly quickly fell to Batman’s fists, and Joker didn’t quite provide enough offense in his stead, though he did land two quick wounds on Batman before falling. Batman and Oracle finished off Harley, then Oracle stacked OM3 and X on her to ensure initiative would be won (it tied 15-15 with Oracle’s boost, and then the Heroes won on the reroll). Batman, with OM1, went after Ivy, engaging, using Oracle’s Secret Attack Plan, and finished things off before Ivy could even attempt to seduce him and turn the game.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman with 2 Wounds, Oracle with 3 Wounds, and Spoiler with Full Life win Turn 1, Round 7.
