Einar's Red Star People's Army
Back Story
Spoiler Alert!
Twins, Tolstoi and Irina Dubrovka were 7 years old when their parents were branded as traitors and executed by the despotic leader of Kristovka, Muschinski. Bound for a government re-education camp, the siblings were freed from their crowded boxcar when a band of partisans attacked the train. Taken in by the leaders of the partisan group, a former officer in the Kristovkan army and his wife, brother and sister were raised with equal parts of love and guerilla tactics. By the age of 15, Tolstoi and Irina commanded partisan raids on government facilities. Tolstoi's charisma and Irina's aptitude for all things electronic made an effective combination. Three years later, when their adoptive parents were killed in a government ambush, Tolstoi and Irina took over leadership of the partisans. The siblings worked tirelessy to bring scattered partisan bands together into a unified force to confront and destroy the tirant who had twice murdered their parents. With every advance by the partisans, the Kristovkan leadership grew more desperate and brutal. During a retribution attack, a young Kristovkan lieutenant refused to order his men to fire on a group of schoolchildren and was himself summarily executed by his colonel. The colonel had little time to ponder his poor decision, as a hail of bullets cut him down. That day, an entire brigade defected to the partisan cause. With each government atrocity, the stream of defections grew. When General Tovarisch pledged his support and his entire 15th Regular Corps to the partisan cause, Tolstoi and Irina could see it was the beginning of the end for the Kristovkan dictator. When the elite Zagadka Soldati Commandos presented themselves for service in the newly formed Red Star People's Army, the twins knew exactly how it would end for Muschinski.
