Spoiler Alert!
Vs. Penguin – Penguin wins with 0 wounds on T5R1. Penguin attacked twice with Umbrella Gun (not flying over) and rolled 2 skulls each time, while Electro whiffed defense both times to die. Electro also whiffed with his only attack with ESB. Bad overall game, maybe he needed to plug into an outlet or something to wake up.
Vs. Penguin – Elecltro wins with 2 wounds on T5R2. I had to try this match-up again. Double lower attack vs. single bigger attack, same defense and lives, so could go either way depending on dice luck.
Vs. Plastic Man – Electro wins with 2 wounds on T2R3. He got to height and PM didn’t engage for fear of Electric Skin. He was able to reach from 2 spaces anyway. Electro rolled 1 skull for each of his ESB attacks in R1, but came back strong in R2.
Vs. Pyro – Pyro wins with 2 wounds on T4R2. Pyro rolled some great attack and def dice. Electro didn’t roll such great defense. Pyro with 0 wounds risked Electric Skin wounds (took none) so he could try Engulf vs. Electro, but he didn’t hit any Engulf rolls.
Vs. Pyro – Electro wins on T5R2 with 3 wounds. Electro didn’t roll great but squeaked this one out. Pyro didn’t risk Electric Skin engagement this game as he had 3 wounds before he could do that and didn’t need to die from engaging, though Electro had height much of the time and had a 5 att/def vs. Pyro’s 4 att/def.
Vs. Iceman – Electro wins with 0 wounds on T3R1. He killed Iceman with the first attack of the game with a 4/0 attack. Have to do again as that’s dice luck mostly.
Vs. Iceman – Iceman wins 1 wound on T2R2. Iceman had hit DF16 in R1 for 2 wounds but removed the X OM instead of OM3.
So far 140 seems okay, as he can get beat and get beat by 120 point figures and likewise with 145/150 point figures.
Here’s some more HH testing.
Vs Spiderman – Spidey wins with 3 wounds on T5R2. Spidey didn’t bother engaging for fear of Electric Skin, but his Web attack worked fine in conjunction with his Spidey Sense keeping him safe for the most part.
Vs. Spiderman – Electro wins with 0 wounds on T5R2. Electro had amazing defense rolls. With his defense reduced to 3 dice from Web attacks, he defended vs. a 3, 2 and 1 skull attacks. Whereas Spidey missed Spidey Sense a couple times and the last time he also whiffed defense roll vs. a 3 skull attack and died. Dice luck game there pretty much.
Vs. Spidey – Spidey wins with 3 wounds on T1R3. Spidey took a chance and engaged Electro for 0 Electric Skin wounds and hit him with a 3/0 attack with his normal attack to take Electro out.
Vs. Beast – Beast wins with 4 wounds on T1R2. I wanted to try a melee only hero test and Beast did take 2 wounds from Electric Skin.
Just for Griff, I also did some Lantern tests.
Vs. GL Hal – Hal wins with 0 wounds and 4 Battery Markers on T3R1 after he annihilates Electro with a 5/0 blast.
Vs. GL Hal – Hal wins with 1 wound and 4 Battery Markers on T5R1. He took a wound by rolling defense instead of burning a Battery Marker, and blasted the snot out of Electro in 2 attacks.
Vs. GL Kyle – Kyle with 2 wounds and 4 Battery Markers on T6R1. He also only took wounds because he didn’t want to burn a Battery Marker.
Vs. Sinestro – Sinestro wins with 0 wounds and 4 Battery Markers on T6R1.
All the Lantern types had height due to their great speed and flying. They had no need to engage.

Army Test 1/ Does it pass? Pass
Played on Ruins of Pine Tree Marsh map
Electro (140) Bullseye (175) Penguin (120) Hand Ninja x 2 (170) for 605 points.
Vs.
Daredevil (180) Madame HYDRA (140) HYDRA Agents x 2 (160) and Robin (120) for 600 points.
Spoiler Alert!
R1 – Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra move. Bullseye moves and kills a Hydra Agent and the Hand Ninja move. Daredevil and Robin move, with Robin killing a Ninja. Penguin moves. Hydra Agents move and attack Bullseye but they all miss, but Madame Hydra puts 2 wounds on him. Electro moves and targets Madame Hydra and 2 Agents with ESB (3 dice), forcing her to use Necessary Sacrifices to kill one of her Agents and the other Agent survives. Electro would have targeted an Agent first to not let Madame Hydra use Necessary Sacrifices, but she was the only one in range.
R2- Hydra Agents put 1 wound on Electro and Madame Hydra puts 1 wound on him as well. He becomes a target as he can mess up Madame Hydra’s protection cluster. Electro targets a Hydra Agent first this time with ESB (3 dice) and kills the first one with a 2/1 attack, but the second one gets +1 defense for Immortal Hydra and defends 2/2 and Madame Hydra also defends 2/2. Daredevil moves to height and kills Bullseye with a 3/0 ranged attack, then Robin moves and puts 1 wound on Penguin. Hand Ninja move and put one wound on Madame Hydra as she saves NS for a bigger attack, but they miss Robin. Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra all roll poor attacks and miss Hand Ninja. Electro attacks with ESB (3 dice) and kills the first Hydra Agent, misses the second and misses Madame Hydra.
R3- Electro sees that his last attack in previous round left Madame Hydra without an adjacent Agent, so he targets her with is full blast of ESB (5 dice) but having height helps her as she defends the 3/3 attack. Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra kill 2 Hand Ninja (2 were adjacent to Madame Hydra so she had to attack them instead of Electro). Ninja move and kill 1 Hydra Agent. Daredevil puts 1 wound on Electro but Robin misses him. Penguin attacks x 2 vs. Robin and puts 1 wound on him. Hydra Agents get +1 for their attack because of Madame Hydra’s Lead by Example and they kill a Ninja next to Madame Hydra, put final wound on Electro and Madame Hydra misses Penguin.
R4- Penguin misses Robin. Hydra Agents attack with height vs.Ninja and kill 2 of them but miss Penguin, then Madame Hydra misses Penguin. Penguin knows his goose is about to be cooked, so he leaves engagement from Robin for no wound and fly’s over Daredevil with his Umbrella Copter for 2 attacks of 5. He rolls 4 skulls with first attack and DD misses RS, but he matches with 4 shields. Penguin hits all skulls for next attack but Radar Sense kicks in and saves DD’s bacon. Daredevil misses Penguin but Robin puts a wound on him. Ninja dead no turn. Hydra Agents with height miss Penguin, but Madame Hydra with height finishes him off.
Madame with 1 wound, DD with 0 wounds, Robin with 1 wound and 3 Hydra Agents survive to win on T6R4.
Order Marker management was huge for DD’s team as they got 5 activations from OM on Hydra Agents and 2 with OM on DD. Bullseye got killed early and that killed the bonding the Ninja would have liked. Actually, DD’s army was a pretty good 600 point army.
Electro took out 3 Hydra Agents with ESB. He had a good attack roll of 3 skulls vs. Madame Hydro w/o protection, but she had height and that helped her defend. But he was a pretty big threat to her and her Necessary Sacrifices cluster defense, so in another situation, he could take the focus off of teammates. Pair him with Angel and that would give him better performance, but then again, Angel can do that for anyone. Electric Skin never came into play as all opponents had ranged attacks.
Madame Hydra, her Agents, DD and Robin enjoyed height advantage for pretty much most of the game, so that had some bearing as well. Again, their OM management and multiple activations helped them get there.
Actually, it was nice to see a nice performance from Madame Hydra.
Army Test 2/ Does it pass? PASS
Played on Ruins of Pine Tree Marsh
Electro (140) Abomination (320) Green Goblin (230) Red Skull (190) Madame Hydra (140) Hydra Agents x 2 (160) and Venom (150) for 1330 points.
Vs.
Thor (430) Wolverine (280) Iron Man (240) Cap (220) and Spidey (160) for 1330 points.
Spoiler Alert!
R1- Thor moves. RS has Abom leap to height in middle of map. Spidey moves. RS has Abom attack Thor but misses with 4/4 attack. Cap moves adjacent to Thor and Spidey and misses Shield Throw vs. Abom. Hydra Agents move and miss Cap and Spidey but Madame Hydra with height puts 1 wound on Cap.
R2- Cap stays adjacent to Thor and Spidey but moves adjacent to Abom with height and misses attack. Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra all with height miss Cap. Thor with attack of 9 (Cap) puts 1 wound on Abom with a 3/2 attack. RS has Abom with height attack Cap, but misses with a 4/4 attack. Iron Man moves and puts 2 wounds on Abom. RS has Green Goblin move and attack with height vs. Iron Man but he misses.
R3- RS has GG fly over Cap and Pumpkin Bomb vs. Cap, Spidey, Thor and Abom but his 1 skull roll is easily blocked by all and then he misses with normal attack vs. Iron Man. Iron Man misses twice vs. GG. RS has GG do the same Pumpkin Bomb run again and puts 1 wound on Thor and then attacks Spidey with normal attack for 1 wound on him. Thor puts 2 more wounds on Abom. RS has Abom with height attack Cap but he takes a Counter Strike wound from his 3/4 attack. Thor kills Abom.
R4- Hydra Agents miss Cap and Red Skull moves so he can see GG again (needed to do that instead of activating Madame Hydra with bonding). Iron Man moves and puts 2 wounds on Red Skull. RS has GG Pumpkin Bomb Cap and Thor and his 4 skull attack puts 1 wound on Cap and 1 on Thor, then GG attacks normally with height vs. Iron Man and puts 2 wounds on him. Thor leaves Cap’s protection and puts 2 wounds on Green Goblin. RS has GG Pumpkin Bomb Thor for 1 wound (Thor rolls bad def vs. PB, as that’s 3rd PB wound) and then GG kills Iron Man with a 3/1 normal attack with height. Thor chases GG but misses with a 2/2 attack.
R6 – Cap kills 2 Hydra Agents adjacent to Madame Hydra and puts 1 wound on her with Shield Throw. Madame Hydra and her Agents keep missing Cap. Thor kills Green Goblin. RS has Electro attack Cap with full blast of ESB (5 dice) and puts 2 wounds on him. Thor moves and throws his hammer at RS for 1 wound. RS has Venom engage Thor with height and he puts 1 wound on him.
R7 – RS has Venom move to same level as Thor and attack for 3 wounds with a 5/2 attack as Thor continues to roll bad defense. Cap moves to height and Shield Throws to kill 2 Hydra Agents, but misses Electro. Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra are still sucking this game as they still can’t get a bullet past Cap’s shield. Thor attacks with Hammer Swing and misses both Venom and Red Skull. Madame Hydra and her Agents still can’t hit Cap. Thor has a nice 4 skull attack wasted as Venom hits for Spider Sense.
R8 – Cap misses 2 Hydra Agents with Shield Throw but puts 1 wound on Electro. RS has Venom attack Thor but misses. Thor puts 1 wound on Venom. Hydra Agents finally hit Cap to put final wound on him but they miss Spidey twice. However, Spidey misses SS vs. a 4 skull attack from Madame Hydra and he also whiffs defense to die. Spidey dead no turn. Hydra Agents get +1 to their attack from Madame Hydra’s Lead By Example, but they still can’t hurt Thor. However, once again, Madame Hydra shows them how it’s done with a 2/1 attack to put last wound on Thor (who rolled bad defense throughout the game).
R9- Wolverine moves. Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra move back near Red Skull. Wolverine moves. RS has Electro move. Wolverine moves and misses Venom with height. RS has Electro move adjacent to Venom on the 3 space height but he misses Wolvie with a 3/3 ESB attack.
R10- Madame Hydra and her Agents move and put 2 wounds on Wolvie. Wolvie moves to same level and adjacent to Venom and Electro but doesn’t take any Electric Skin wounds, but puts 2 wounds on Electro (3) and heals 1 wound off (1). RS has Venom attack since he has the bigger attack but he whiffs. Wolvie makes Venom pay for that whiff as he kills him with a 3/0 attack after a failed SS roll. Then he kills Electro and heals 1 wound off (0). Red Skull has 4 wounds so he says what the heck and he moves toward Wolvie, misses DOD attempt but puts 2 wounds on him with normal attack. Wolvie laughs in Red Skulls ugly face right before plunging his claws into him for the kill, then he heals 1 wound then reveals X to heal another for 0 again.
R11- Hydra Agents and Madame Hydra all miss Wolvie. Wolvie moves. Hydra Agents back up and miss Wolvie but Madame Hydra puts 1 wound on him. Wolvie moves and kills 2 Hydra Agents and heals a wound (0). Last Hydra Agent misses Wolvie but Madame Hydra puts 2 wounds on Wolvie. Wolvie kills last Agent and puts 2 wounds on Madame Hydra, then he heals to 0 again.
R12- Madame Hydra misses Wolvie. Wolvie kills her.
Wolverine survives to win with 0 wounds on T2R12.
Electro only put 2 wounds on Cap and had a 3 skull attack blocked by Wolvie. He didn’t hit Electric Skin roll with the only attempt when Wolvie engaged. There weren’t any squads for him to be a threat to and while he could have tried ESB (3 dice) vs. Cap, Thor and Spidey, it seemed like a waste vs. such huge defenses of those heroes. So Red Skull mostly used his big guns with big attacks or multiple attacks. Abom didn’t do anything but sit there and be a punching bag. Green Goblin was pretty huge and Venom was ok.
The key of course was Cap being so huge vs. so many attacks by Madame Hydra and her Agents, as well as some attack from Abom. Cap was an early target because of the boosts he gave to Thor and Spidey. But Thor rolled really crappy defense throughout, but did take out Abom and GG.
Wolvie was just insanely huge at the end as nobody could really land big time wounds on him and he just kept healing and kept coming and killing. Nice to see him do well.
Analysis:
Regarding Electro, he seems to be best suited vs. squads and cluster busting vs. average or below defense opponents. He has a nice single Special Attack that can do well vs. mid-level heroes and even get some lucky attacks once in a while vs. some bigger heroes. However, he only has 4 lives and 4 defense and is very susceptible to ranged attacks. He only has a range of 5 with ESB, so he has to get close enough to get shot back. Electric Skin will make opponent’s think twice, but it’s hardly automatic and once an opponent gets past it, Electro is average and easy enough to kill. I never used his normal attack and quite frankly think it should be dropped to 3, as while he has some augmented strength, he’s not a melee fighter.
So I think that after dropping his normal attack to 3 and after testing him, I can see him drop in points as well down to 130 for further testing.
