When I first got into this game it was to play something other than Warhammer. I didn't know anyone who played it and I bought a lot of the stuff so that I could have decent sized armies to play with...

Draining someone's life essence doesn't...
Draining someone's life essence doesn't necessarilly involve sucking out their blood. Soulborgs, I believe, have some sort of living "spirit" in them that a vampire could drain from the metal shell....

The E.I. cost a lot, yes, but I have used them...
The E.I. cost a lot, yes, but I have used them rather well. Don't forget they have stealth flight, which is better than just regular flight. And they are soldiers, so they benefit from Marcus' extra...
