Re: Fourth World Workshop (New Gods/Apokolips)

Yeah, I like that vibe for the Furies. They're pretty one-note characters outside of Barda, so the multiple attacks and an SA or so for each should do the trick. Like, you don't need to read Stompa...

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Playtesting Phase)

Yeah, maybe that was a little too reactionary. It does make me lean away from changing her SA though. Maybe she just needs a point bump and we can call it a day? Once we get our final set in!

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Playtesting Phase)

Yeah, not a great showing for her! However, it was useful - the fact she's such a glass jaw does say to me that things might lean in the "keep her back for as long as possible" direction.

I'm...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Looks like Iron Fist is the first Netflix series to be cancelled. (https://deadline.com/2018/10/marvel-iron-fist-canceled-netflix-daredevil-disney-finn-jones-jessica-henwick-1202482048/) Note that...

Re: Public Design Workshop

I'm sure there's no shortage of cheap slime/ooze miniatures that could be painted black. There's a really cool D&D Black Pudding mini that would work great - it actually has a slot for you to put...

Re: Public Design Workshop

I think making the boost a once per turn thing is a really brilliant way to mitigate the "stick him on a multiattacker" effect. Shocked that, as far as I know, no one has ever really used that...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Yeah, Aquaman looks... weird. Some stuff looks great - like Black Manta is amazing, such a cool adaptation of his look - but some just doesn't work. I don't really like Arthur or Mera, aesthetically...

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Playtesting Phase)

Is post #2 the most updated version of Squirrel Girl or just the base and variants are buried within the threads.
If it's not, would you please post the version where we're at now?

Re: The Book of Super-Ape (Mikhlo)

Heroclix got it wrong in this case - the names of the gorilla and orangutan are swapped. Our QC was better, I guess. :p

Re: Public Design Workshop

I really like both the Tinkerer and those aliens. Cool design for one of the goofiest things in early Spider-Man (and the equally goofy retcon).

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Playtesting Phase)

Definitely hoping for some more tests here - I'm feeling like she's a little too hot right now, so I'd like to either see someone assuage my fears or solidify that she needs a change.

Re: The Book of Ocean Master (VOTE for Initial Playtesting)

I'm honestly fine with the ocean suddenly getting sucked away once he dies. He's magically controlling it, after all, so it stands to reason that it could magically leave. And I think it makes for a...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I like Elektra as a character - I like that she's so blatantly self-interested, so out of step with Matt's ethos, but they still have that natural chemistry. But I didn't like the story. The ninja...

Re: The Book of Dalek Drones (Vote For Initial Playtesting)

Yea

We recently changed procedures so it's possible this did pass after 48 hours... pardon our dust, some of us old folks have trouble keeping up with all these changes. :p

Re: The Book of Squirrel Girl (Playtesting Phase)

I actually saw that when I was poking around, I think - artistically I really adore the softer style, but it feels kind of odd for a card, which are usually more dynamic in posing and style. Does...

Re: The Book of Ocean Master (Design Phase)

For reference - this design seems to be drawing mostly on New 52 Orm, who is pretty different from the original. He's full-blooded Atlantean, and Aquaman's physical equal. He was raised in Atlantis....

Re: C3G Poker-Sized Card Project

Yellow has always felt kind of official-ish for superhero Heroscape in my mind - probably because the Marvel Glyphs are yellow? So even if we move away from it as the main color I think it would work...

Re: New 52 And DC Rebirth Workshop

For LordVenoc - my thoughts on how many Markers to start with is dependent on how the mini looks. If it's his original look (octagonal S), I'd do what you suggested, start him off with 4 Markers and...

Re: New 52 And DC Rebirth Workshop

Yeah, you'd want to go 3-6 for the "negate powers" one. I like the idea of an exploding Kryptonian Sidekick - I always like a little risk when you're drafting the kids.

I'm torn on whether I'd...

Re: The Book of Dalek Drones (Breathing Period)

Was there backlash when they started making them fly? Because I know that's the sort of thing I would have complained about impotently on the internet!

Re: The Book of Dalek Drones (Breathing Period)

I haven't been following the prep thread, and have limited Who experience. I apologize in advance. :p

Re: C3G Dredd'verse workshop

I remember the discussion during the GCW thread being that Grodd does have super strength, even by gorilla standards, but the average denizen of Gorilla City does not, and is no more enhanced than...

Re: C3G Ally and Fan Rewards Thread

Yeah, $2 a figure isn't too bad. We've had way more expensive options, and those lego-ish looking ones seem like surprisingly decent proxies if you want to buy them in bulk.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

To be honest, I may be remembering more of James Franco in Spider-Man 3 - he's incredibly hammy in that one, and it's one of the highlights of the movie. I don't remember him much in Spider-Man 2 at...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

See, the thing - the acting is intentionally... stilted. Overwrought. They deliver cheesy lines in a cheesy way. (Dafoe's Green Goblin is the absolute king of this.) Because it's a movie about a dude...
