Re: Your favorite Prog bands (aka what is ProgRock?)

When I think of the term prog-rock, i think of something that is not only technically challenging on the level of musicianship, but something that also pushes of the boundaries of what music can do. ...

Re: Music: What are you listening to right now?

I haven't heard of that, but it sounds like it could be interesting. Please elaborate.

I've been listening to a lot of TV on The Radio's latest "Dear Science." It's a bit more poppy than their...

Re: Wave 3 in Ashland Walmart!

Hopefully this doesn't crush anyone's christmas, but I snagged one of each common from that wal-mart yesterday. There's still one whole set up for grabs though.

And yeah, there's a couple few...

Re: Baron Munchausen and Other Terry Gilliam's

I really wanted to like Tideland. I really did. The script was interesting, the cinematography was great. It just made me feel so dirty. Even more so than Requiem For A Dream. I did only see it...

Re: Music: What are you listening to right now?

They did the musical accompaniment to a William S. Burroughs spoken word album called Dead City Radio. Great stuff, very eerie; it fit right in with Burroughs' deadpan crazytalk. I've never heard...

Re: Dumb moves you've seen/done

I played with a dude once who thought that the blanks on the dice were wild! He told me he had been playing that way for months.

Re: Music: What are you listening to right now?

I hear you on the Muse thing Ugly-Caco. That band is great but the vocalist kind of gets on my nerves sometimes.

I just finished making an abridged version of Mellon Collie and The Infinite...

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?

Seriously? Granted, it was a bit slower plotwise, but I thought that that was where things just started to get interesting. The backstory revelations start getting pretty intense. Then again James...

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?

Have any of you ever seen Akira Kurosawa's Ran. Though its not a direct book-to-movie transfer, it is still an absolutely amazing adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear. It's definitely my favorite...

Re: $20 ROTV & SOTM Master Sets at Armada Games in Tampa FL

I don't suppose they'd be willing to ship a couple to a poor soul who lives in the middle of nowhere? Of course I'd be willing to pay a little extra to make it worth their while.

Re: A Realistic Look at the Future of Heroscape

You misunderstood the discussion about ratios. We're not talking about the amount of commons in a 4 pack. What we would like to see would be a box with 1 of each unique and 2-4 of each common. ...

Re: Books: What are you currently reading?

I'm surprised at myself I didn't think of looking for a thread like this sooner; I could talk about books for days. Anyway, I just finished Stephen Hawking's latest A Briefer History of Time. Kind...

Re: Heroscape Hex count updated 9-2-08

The boosters that come with terrain have 4, hence my confusion. In any case, I'm not really that concerned about it, I just thought it was funny.

Edit: Sorry, just thought of this, but do waves...

Re: Heroscape Hex count updated 9-1-08

That's what I figured, but the last two on the list threw me off. I mean seriously, how do you get 2 hexes? That's less than a small booster. Did he find them in the street and then run to join...

Re: Heroscape Hex count updated 9-1-08

Question. Is this counting individual hexes or just tiles, ie. does a 24 hex count as 1 or 24?

If its 24, I feel sorry for the dude that has 2. Wouldn't make for very interesting battles.
