Re: Snow Terrain Gameboard
Great, great work. I love any kind of terrain that is modular. I will have to find some of that sand........

Re: Hex Master hexagon terrain
I own a lot of FDG's products. They are easy to build, and the art is universally excellent. I can't recommend these products strongly enough.

Re: Lamaclown's Custom Terrain
Great work. As always, a reminder that burning foam is a neuro toxin, and you should only use a hot wire cutter in a well ventilated room or outside.

Re: Zaukrie's Terrain - Helm's Deep in Progress
Finished the mountain base on the left side, my 11 year old's ramp in the back to take stuff down from the big door on the right into the caverns, and started the outer mountain and roof on the right...

Re: Zaukrie's Terrain - Helm's Deep in Progress
We'll play Heroscape, D&D, and probably random war games, if we can. Most of our terrain gets used as "just fun" stuff around the house.
It isn't designed well for HS, but we rarely get to play HS...

Re: Zaukrie's Terrain - Helm's Deep in Progress
It will be about 4 feet wide at the base, by 26 (I think) inches deep, by about 20-24 inches tall when done. As you can see, it is largely made of pink and yellow styrene. The white (which will be...

Zaukrie's Terrain - Helm's Deep in Progress
So, this is what my 11 year old and I have been doing (on and off, he's 11) for the past three-four months.
Rule 1: has to fit in doorways - and we measured all but 2! One of those is critical,...

Re: Wave 9: Blackmoon's Seige, Announced!!!
We all have different defintions of healthy. Clearly the community is fairly healthy. I'm talking releases. Re-relseases don't do a lot for me, it is the amount of new that shows healthiness to me....

Re: Speed Terrain Contest #20
Maybe I missed it, as I'm actually considering entering, but what was the deadline?
If it's in the first post, I somehow don't see it.

Re: Wave 9: Blackmoon's Seige, Announced!!!
I'm glad I was wrong about not getting any new figures this year. I'm not convinced the game is alive and super healthy right now, but at least we still have a chance.....and evidence that our hope...

Re: Terrain Contest #18 (Poll A)
I like all of these. The simplicity and roughness of a couple of these match their themes very, very well. I'd be happy to own any of these.

Re: Terrain Contest #18 (Poll B)
How did you divide these? nearly every one on this poll is better than the one's on the first poll. I'm not sure I can decide.
Nine is very well done, very, very well done.
I like how 8 is...

Re: Working with FoamCore
I'd not recommend hot wire cutters, if you move to other foam. The fumes are highly toxic. That said, it is probably the best way to get a clean cut. My son and I are making Helm's deep, and the cuts...

Re: sportcult's custom terrain
Did you use foam for the tree too? I haven't had much luck making interesting trees, though I've not put a ton of effort into them either.
