Re: Petition to save Heroscape

Eh sure... I don't really come here often, but I would like to see the game continued. Sign me up I guess.

Re: Virtual Valhalla (Play Heroscape Online)

So, with 'Scape cancelled and all, I was thinking that maybe this could develop and become a base for all of these new C3V units, because you wouldn't be limited to what's available as far as figures...

Re: Suggestions for the C3V Design Team

Oh, yes, it has been a while... I forgot that was there. I apologize, I'll move it as not to derail the thread further.

Re: Valkrill: Keeping or Trashing? Read OP before voting "No

^This. I voted to get rid of him, but seeing this makes me change my mind. WotC took our game, put their spin on it, then trashed it. Let's take their brainchild, put our spin on it, and keep it -...

Re: Building a Mosque Near Ground Zero

I've googled unsuccessfully for the exact quote and source, can anyone help? My guess is that it's Gulp.
Re: Building a Mosque Near Ground Zero

Who said He'd have to leave the universe to its own devices? I see no reason why God couldn't step in now and again to nudge human history in the right direction in subtle ways (or not so subtle...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

Because then they can re-sell the same figures to d&d players, most likely.

As if that wasn't obvious to those of us who aren't exactly enamored with d&d already.

Oh, I'm sure they'll...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

If your speaking from a sales point then that's likely not true. D&D RPG's (not scapers) would never buy a pack with a robot in it so WotC would loose those customers, and I'm willing to bet there...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

I think what he meant is everyone would like classic, but only the pro d&ders would want d&d. I don't think that's an accurate assumption to make, necessarily (as there might be a few d&d purists...

I let it go. There's no point in arguing and I have better things to do with my time.

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

Although I suspect some of that is just backlash from when d&d hate was rampant earlier in the year. I give it a month or two, then things will (hopefully) settle down to a happy medium, unless...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

But that doesn't immediately make them inspired. I think the word you're looking for there is innovative. While they lack inspiration thematically speaking, they do have quite a lot of innovation in...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

I didn't mean it as in insult to the designers and their hard work, just to state that they already had an idea and a figure to work with before they really started the design process, so it hardly...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

I can grant you the Variety (at least in the sense they are all fantasy themed) but sorry, D1 and D2 are some of the most inspired and varied units ever released.
Inspired... yeah, they're...

Re: Anti-DnDScape?

Meh, I kind of stopped playing. The D&D units lack that intangible thing that makes the Classic ones fun to play, so I don't really see a point... I'm only on this site still because I'll...

Re: Myvra - New Card Color

Heh, I remember those things from waayy back on that one Gameboy Color game. I don't know if Beast is the best class for them, perhaps Slime would be more appropriate.

Although, random slime...

Re: Project Pokemon Brainstorming Thread: Pokemon Move Mappi

I agree - I'm pretty sure crabs are actually slightly faster on land than in water, because they move in much the same way in either environment, but the drag of the water slows them down.

Why...

Re: Project Pokemon Brainstorming Thread: Pokemon Move Mappi

There are some water types that don't need to be accounted for, as they look like they could move on land fairly easily. Here's my list of Pokemon that could move on land without any sort of penalty:...

Re: The Tournament of Forced Variety

One problem I forsee is some players getting a category they can't meet the requirements of (i.e. 1 Marvel unit but they don't have any Marvel).
