Re: What Video Game are you Currently Playing?

I love that game.

Man, what a great game. :) Sadly I don't really know anyone I can play online with at present (my brother, on occasion, which is lovely, but he's usually got approximately...

Re: LC's Customs- Minotaur Stampede 01/02/19

I had forgotten. Thanks for your work there; one of my favorite factions. :)

Re: LC's Customs- Minotaur Stampede 01/02/19

I overlooked that the Minoan Guards are Unique! That does help quite a bit with their power level then. It feels weird to put bonding on a Unique Squad, but that could be just me.

Re: LC's Customs- Minotaur Stampede 01/02/19

Valiant Hero Bonding is a bold move. There are a lot of Valiant heroes, from Charos to Sam Brown. Bonding with a ranged hero *and* a number of beatsticks is something few squads get to do. Between...

Re: Death Knights of Valkrill armies with C3V/SoV

I'm inclined to think "Death Knights of Valkrill" and "competitive" don't really belong in the same sentence. :)

But there are a lot of fun combos here certainly.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

If you change Clayton to use bonding I think you'll struggle to get him through the SoV, let alone VC unified review. On the other hand, if he *doesn't* have bonding, you may also have a hard time...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

For an uncommon hero we'd be looking at 150-225; though lower availability numbers have been passing lately I think. 20 from one eBay seller does imply there will be availability elsewhere but you...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Scytale has great thoughts here as well, so weigh it all in the balance and don't get carried away. :)

I think when it comes to name "Seth the Darklord" < "Seth"

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Or 2 defense with an attack of 3 or 4, if you want to make him even cheaper. Just ideas--not even suggestions. Take them or leave them.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

I agree with Scytale. At a meta level it feels like we get a lot of units with 3 or 4 attack or defense. This mini could allow deviation on either end, possibly to come in at a lower point value.

Re: Flash_19's Maps: New Map 12/9/18!

Mostly I was thinking that if you want this to be a tournament-worthy map then double-spaced figures are a good thing to keep in mind.

Re: Flash_19's Maps: New Map 11/14/18!

This map is beautiful. How well are the bulkier double-spaced figures able to move around on it? Do you find there are a lot of spaces they have trouble getting to or attacking in melee? Think TKN,...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs

I like Seth a lot. Very thematic, simple, and adds nice punch to his faction.

Re: Superfrog's Customs - Surgecoil Thrall 12/12

How big is the figure? Does it need to be that beefy?

I like where you're at now, but I have to wonder--what exactly is the theme of this figure as it relates to the other undead Thralls?

Re: LC's Customs- Arrr... thar be Pirates here! 12/06/18

I like the loot powers. They won't come in to play often, but they're thematic and useful when they do come in to play. Well done.

Re: Superfrog's Maps -- October revised 12/13

What do you think about bumping the two trees in the middle back one space towards the ruins, and bumping the two trees by the glyphs up on to the nearest space of the 3-hex heights?

Re: Superfrog's Maps -- new map 12/11

It is pretty, and simple. It looks friendly to pods and has a lot of chokepoints, though. I wonder if you could use the trees to block up sight lines in the middle some more?

Re: Superfrog's Customs - Surgecoil Thrall 12/12

Interesting. The name Power Surge made me think of a totally different direction: a Thrall with a ranged attack and the power from the Havech Eradicators.

Re: LC's Customs- Arrr... thar be Pirates here! 12/06/18

Great example! The vikings were very nautical but none of their powers in Heroscape reference water at all.

Re: LC's Customs- Arrr... thar be Pirates here! 12/06/18

I've got to throw my hat in with those that don't like the theme of Water Sneak or Sea Legs. Many pirates and sailors of that period didn't even know how to swim. They sailed on the sea, but they...
