Re: The Book of Solomon Kane

It might be getting rare at this point too, but High Inquisitor from D&D Minis is pretty much just a knockoff Solomon Kane.

Looks like he runs about $3.

Re: C3G Books of Index

Scott Lang is a thief, Kingpin is a crime lord, Nitro is an assassin, Ares is a rogue god. Cosmo is an outlier but otherwise, they're all "anti-authority" in a way.

Re: Comics: what are you currently reading?

I'm behind on Deathstroke (I read most of my DC stuff via Hoopla, which only lets me take out right trades a month - and I spend a lot of those on older stories) but it's absolutely solid. Priest...

Re: The Book of Lex Luthor (II)

It's kind of hack-y and inelegant but it works, so... Fine by me.

It does. :D They've only got 3 episodes so far, and it's had some semi-major plot changes, but the characters are pretty...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I read Doomsday Clock! I didn't like it. :p The plotting and worldbuilding is all fine, and the atmosphere of apocalypse is great, but Geoff Johns just isn't as talented a writer when you put him...

Re: The Book of Nitro (Breathing Period)

I think the easiest thing to do here (which we've done in the past) is to take the generic "Marvel Guide" illustration and paste it over an appropriate explosion-y illustration. You know, this one:

Re: The Book of Nitro (Breathing Period)

Yeah my only real quibble was with the names. On the face of it, dropping the X and merging the first and last powers sounds sensible, but I'd avoid it - it muddles the "story" of the card. It's not...

Re: Public Design Post

By the way - as of Avengers #673, High Evolutionary has officially started regressing humans into Hybrids. For some reason. :p

Re: Public Design Post

I always thought the Einar Kyrie would make good Angels from the Witchblade universe. They're pretty similar (buff shirtless winged dudes in masks). The only major difference is that the Witchblade...

Re: The Book of Kingpin (II) (Opening Phase)

Yea as well. I like dok's suggestion of the Frame Up ending when Kingpin is killed.

As for mini - I kind of like the third one, with the brandished cane, here. It looks like he's giving orders,...

Re: Public Design Post

Yeah, High Evolutionary "evolves" animals into humanoids (side note: not even remotely how evolution works?). He doesn't regress humans. Different motivation, in most cases, but the same end result....

Re: Public Design Post

I was the one to initially suggest the Hybrid retool so I'm in favor. :p The fact that you have to draw the line strangely in some places is definitely an issue - like, Peter Parker has spider DNA...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I think Black Panther works best as a pure action hero when he's not the main character - like, in Christopher Priest's run, things are mostly from the point of view of other characters, like Ross....

Re: The Spellbook of Mesmerize

I also really like C! Would be good with A also, and am not a huge fan of D (to me, that's pretty clearly a gorgon and a guy turned to stone... not exactly mesmeric :P).

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Very cool! I've seen some good stuff done with Tabletop Simulator.

Personally, I'm honored that someone took our work (the stuff that we throw tons of time at out of pure love for the game) and...
