Re: FiddlerJones Customs - 4/6/2010

Thanks for the heads up. I'll see what I can do about getting the photos back in place.

Re: FiddlerJones Customs - 4/6/2010

:) Glad to be of service. Most of the minis I used were from Mage Knight, Dreamblade, or the old D&D Minis game. Glad you found Akahotep's mini though!

Re: FiddlerJones Customs - 4/6/2010

Wow, haven't been on here in ages. Thanks for getting me to check again.

Feel free to modify any of these units as you see fit for your own personal use. Makes a lot of sense that Akahotep...

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Ash

I Choose You!
At the end of each round, you may reveal your X order marker and, if it is on a pokemon army card, take a turn with that unit.

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Gary

Minimoose's ruling sounds correct to me, but the wording is a bit unclear. I'd agree that you need a total of six types, even if you only have three pokemon who are, for example, steel/electric,...

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Gary

I like Nightswipe's idea. And it should be something relatively hefty, like "roll and additional attack die" or some such.

Also, let's just call them "Ash" and "Gary," to give us room to make...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

Exactly.

1) Woot, 3000 posts.

2) The reason for energy markers is their versatility. They can be used for more things than just Photosynthesis.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

You might do it where you can put them on any figure. Of course, this will only actually do anything for pokemon that have abilities that use energy markers.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

Option 5.

However, if we go with Option 6, I see no need for a limit on how many Photosynthesis (still think it should be Charge) markers can be on Venusaur. Both powers in this option are...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

I like Option 2, but with +4 attack per marker and a limit of 3 charge markers max on the Venusaur.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

I vote to keep it at +4 and check it out in playtesting. I wouldn't wait four turns to use an attack of 9... unless we made it AoE or a line attack like Mimring.

That said, some of WK's...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

I really like this idea. Using the markers for double purposes is great. I'm not sure how it'll work out power-level wise, but I definitely prefer this method over removing order markers.

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Cool Trainer ♀

I agree with WK on starting Cool Trainer with items, but it needs some kind of additional ability to make it stand out as a trainer. I'm not sure if we decided you could buy items for points as...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: VENUSAUR!

I like a lot of what people have come up with, except for the double-order-marker cost for Solar Beam. I feel like we have an opportunity to do something really interesting with an attack like this...

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Cool Trainer ♀

WK: The ability names overlap with the Glyph/Item department. The abilities themselves seem powerful but extremely limiting, as the pokemon has to be in your start zone. If we get some info from...

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Cool Trainer ♀

Hm, what about something like:

Confidence

Once per round, after rolling attack or defense dice with an evolved pokemon you control, you may re-roll any of those dice.

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Cool Trainer ♀

You said they tend to use evolved or strong pokemon, so what about:

Confidence

You gain a +1 bonus to initiative for each evolved pokemon in your army.

Re: Project Pokemon Trainer Cards: Jr. Trainer♂

Makes sense then, as long as we're not planning on using figures in standard matches. I was pretty sure we decided against that. But yeah it's necessary to include the wording for when it comes up...
