Re: Valiant Universe Workshop

Dr. Mirage would be interesting for sure, another solid book.

I didn't read the Spell rules while writing that up so, yeah, she probably needs some wording tweaks and clarifications and all....

Re: Valiant Universe Workshop

I was all worried about the whole "overclocking the suit" mechanic, and the newest issue of X-O Manowar opens with the suit shutting down because he pushed it too far last issue... funny how that...

Re: C3G Public Design Nominations - Round 1 Is Now Open!

At least Khalid has a fresh design, the other Dr. Fates all look the same. :p

Re: Valiant Universe Workshop

One concern I have with any good textured mini is how well that texture would come off under a layer of paint. If that can be pulled off, a helmeted head on a movie GL body (maybe with some shoulder...

Re: The Book of Midnighter (Breathing Period)

If we want a lighter touch, maybe something like this:

BADASS BOAST
As long as there's a revealed Order Marker on this card, Operatives you control add 1 to their Move number and, if they're...

Re: The Book of John Constantine - Vote for Release!

Love that we were able to put together a Constantine that's cheap and flavorful - he really hits that nice "urban magic" feel that's so integral to the character. Yea

Re: tcglkn's Design Brainstorms

I'm a pretty big Disney nerd actually - it and comics are my two biggest knowledge bases. Given time I can rattle off the entire Disney Animated Canon in chronological order (including either...

Re: The Book of Captain America (Sam Wilson) (Playtesting Ph

Official results in from Erlich74 (hi!):

I'm a little concerned that the best strategy for Cap is to park him on height and never move him, but I think there's enough strategic value in...

Re: Valiant Universe Workshop

Definitely on the quick and dirty side, but I think they're solid. A lot of the simple "humans in uniforms" are easy to get going.

Manowar is a tough one. I think what you have is great as a...

Re: The Book of Midnighter (Breathing Period)

When it comes to surviving blows - is he a "I got a hole blown through my chest and kept on chugging" or a "I got a hole blown through my chest and survived, but it took me out of commission for a...

Re: C3G Playtesting Sign-Ups Seeking New Testers!

Now we can argue about whether we should be reevaluating older units that are too weak for the next six months. :p

Re: The Book of Mad Thinker

I also updated the second post with the Secret Identity Julius that Ronin mentioned. He didn't get much pushback (and I forgot to mention that I was in favor) so I assume we're fine with that.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Yeah, I remember hanging around those early days. The SSE really was a game-changer for C3G releases... though it took a while to figure those out, too. The first release was Anti-Monitor... the...

Re: C3G Public Design Nominations - Round 1 Is Now Open!

A) Lots of great choices here - Tasky and Crossbones are both way overdue and I'm a huge fan of the apes in general. I think I personally might prefer Crossbones here, but Taskmaster has a lot of...

Re: The Book of Captain America (Sam Wilson) (Playtesting Ph

Cool! Looks like he's viable (if not optimal) as a standalone leader, which is good to see. Definitely not a great sign when the "stay back and play tactician" guy is the only one to deal any damage...

Re: The Book of Midnighter (Breathing Period)

I like Operative here and in the future, we can use Operative for "powered people employed by the government" as opposed to Agent, which is generally "normal person that works full-time with the...

Re: The Book of Midnighter (Breathing Period)

B/A for me.

I'd aim for something along the lines of Agent for class for synergy reasons, as mentioned... I see him more likely to hang out with Nick Fury than Robin and Alfred. Did we ever end...

Re: The Book of Midnighter (Breathing Period)

I like the streamline to Predictive Combat but prefer the OM boost to the current negative - I think it'll just be a lot easier to remember.

He's definitely potent and will need a close eye....

Re: C3G Public Design Nominations - Nominations Now Open!

I usually prefer to nominate public designs, but:Metron (https://www.heroscapers.com/community/showpost.php?p=2223253&postcount=52)

Re: Lobster's Public Design Workshop

I know the "roll less attack dice" was kind of an aesthetic we were planning for the Apokoliptian factor.

One idea I had for Mannheim was New God bonding. Maybe do that for his first power - let...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I've had that problem before - the card not valid stuff. I unlinked my card and relinked it, and it eventually fixed itself after a day or two if I remember right.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Anything by Priest is fun because he really doesn't care if the reader is following or not. Makes me think of guys like Morrison and Hickman, but I feel like Priest cares less about plot and...

Re: The Book of Peter Stanchek (Vote for Release)

One thing we're missing - a link to the tutorial for making the figure. (Just put it next to/under the figure information.)

Yea once that's done!

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I actually just did like... 15 minutes ago. I can confirm it is gucci.

Zdarsky might be my favorite Marvel writers right now, and he's perfect for a "our hero might actually be an awful person"...
