Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

On another note, this has finally been added to BoardGameGeek's crowdfunding countdown page (https://boardgamegeek.com/crowdfunding) with a link to the Haslab. In case anyone over there has missed...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I agree completely. The days leading up to the campaign were really exciting, and no card revealed has been a disappointment. The designs bring a lot of new and really clever elements to the game.

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

It's great to still be seeing new cards come out! At this point, I think we have seen almost everything except some of the Clockwork Combine and most of the Dryan Lifeborne Order.
Whatever video was...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I can see a full relaunch causing more people to give a second look as opposed to an extension.

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

The lava terrain used the same molds as other terrain, just with different colors. I would hope lava isn't bizarrely off the table when they prominently included lava in the teaser video for the...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

This may have been discussed elsewhere, but why would the Izumi Samurai be problematic at all?

~Z
As helpfully pointed out in the above post, I was mainly thinking about the "treading...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I have wondered the same thing; it seems like a whole lot of upfront design work that then tragically gets written off as a loss.

The relaunch approach has been interesting. Similar to Heroquest,...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

Have there been hints of more card reveals as the campaign goes on? I get that impression from the Annihilation Compendium (https://hasbropulse.com/blogs/avalon-hill/the-annihilation-compendium),...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

The new page is glorious! We now have more emphasis where it is needed.

Is the rulebook available from the Haslab page? I must have missed that.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

With all the comments on how the campaign has been handled, I do appreciate the two exclusive units. They look neat (as far as we can tell without cards), but they aren't TOO neat. If they had the...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

The designs are very exciting! I really appreciate how versatile Heroscape is; even after all this time with many expansions, such unique abilities can still be introduced.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Scenario implementation would be fantastic! They could hire an actor to read the description / journal entry at the beginning of each scenario. For events like "poisonous waters rising", it could...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

When learning a new game, seeing a card with various symbols and numbers is a bit intimidating, giving the "this game will be confusing" impression. Rivet Wars is a bit like that - so much...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

In a certain sense, Heroscape has already been revived (not to get all sappy about it, however). After the announcement, a lot of people popped back into the forums and the sales and trades thread...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Thanks for sharing all this additional information, everyone!

Wow, I did not fully grasp how large Admiral EJ1M was! Also, the dark red order markers look very nice.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Wow, that is a good reference for a simple yet good looking finish (and decently similar).

Bug-like models are also very good for painting one solid colour. A lot of real-world arachnids and...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Reading it again, it actually sounds like Maladrix The Conquerer is the one creating/replacing new Festering Honor Guard units - for all those who wished that the Marro Hive could move and bite...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Based on their bio, these guys might win the "Least Child-Friendly" award from me, but the five-unit squad is very cool. Perhaps they will have an ability like the classic zombies.

File name:...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

The Frostclaw Paladins have now made the Care Bear Scape dream a reality. I hope someone actually paints them this way.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Looking at day 11 again (way back on page 72), it kind of looks like all three poses will be on the same base - forming one sculpt. Notice how the sketch at the top left has three overlapping poses....

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Perhaps they have hired Dr. Weirdscaper as the lead for the terrain design, and each day will feature an even larger piece - culminating with Tactical Mobile Fortress 03.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Very neat! I like the adaptive, Q9-like ability. Under the classic distribution model, I could imagine this unique hero/squad filling a booster all by themselves.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

What a fun theme to bring into Heroscape! This faction is probably my favourite so far.

These updates are also starting to pop up on Hasbro Pulse, for those who missed the first four days:...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

If that is setting the standard for the quality we can expect from squads... Wow. That mini is amazing.
I am slightly amused at the size of the respirator/mask compared to its mouth.
