Re: DFW Tournaments - Restricted List

The figures in the list aren't banned per se; armies just aren't allowed to take more than one unit from this list (and if it's a common, there can only be up to 3 copies of it in the army). It's...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

From my games with them, it's definitely a lot harder to set up a huge Wave of Fear than it looks. I do want to test out larger amounts of Seishin before submission, though, just to cover all bases....

Re: DFW Tournaments - Restricted List

The main thing that concerns me about Greenscales is them with Nilfheim. I've always viewed that as being a pretty high-tier army, though perhaps no higher than Glads/Blasts. Being able to pod up...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

No complaints from me. I just used Overclock because I'm fine with any suitable adjective.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

My initial impression is that the 20-30 point range is more interesting, but if he's been testing too powerfully at that bracket then don't try to force him into it.

I like the change to First...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Definitely. Scytale's most recent suggestion for the mechanic of Wave of Fear is a blast to try and set up, and it really sells their terrifying personality. It adds another dimension to the TSA and...

Re: Hexes in Texas - Dallas / Ft Worth NHSD 2019

Thanks for hosting everyone today, R˙chean! Everyone that I know had a great time, and they're all looking forward to playing in the area again.

Okay, if we're somewhat settled on Overclock, is anyone opposed to formally moving on to Testing?

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

Looks good to me. It's a bit wordy, but hopefully it's easier on the eyes than powers such as Jotun's throw and similarly easy to understand once you see it.

Re: [Pod 0] Project Velnesh (Leyline Phantoms) - Design

NecroBlade Agreed. I'd like to go with Project Velnesh Alphas to reinforce the Sci-Fi theme, though I suppose that the Experiments class could carry that on its own if others feel like it's too...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Both designs look a lot better to me, kolakoski. As someone who regularly fights Romans, I can't say that I agree that they need help at all, though. They aren't the best army in the game, but...

Finally heard some confirmations from last-minute interested players, along with some drop-outs.

1. R˙chean
2. Astroking112
3. Stormyman
4. Angi (Leaving Early)
5. Odzaepher
6. Leo Ultra (May...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

I have no qualm with proceeding with Neural Overclock. If everyone's fine with that, then I think that we're ready for Testing.

Re: C3V Public Announcements

Just a quick note, but MiniatureMarket also has one of the cheapest prices I found for Gug, another figure that you might be interested in acquiring. It's still not that cheap at $7, though perhaps 2...

Re: Sculpt Polls! 73. Viking/Dreadgul Heroes

Valguard is by far my favorite sculpt of this bunch. He looks intimidating, wild, and like some random demon is possessing his arm. It's perfectly weird for HeroScape.

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

I always played Deathwalker 9000 that way even before finding Heroscapers and the official ruling.

I do agree with you that this will matter more often. If I'm alone in thinking that it's...

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

I don't think we can simply R&C this one. The order that figures are placed is pretty crucial, not something we should bury in an R&C.[/QUOTE]

I do prefer the other option because it isn't really...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

I believe that the Wraith is actually a medium-sized figure. The Varja is Huge 8, so the sizing might prove to be an issue.

Similarly, while I'd love to use that Gug sculpt as a replacement Varja,...

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

For my "each non-adjacent figure must be placed by the player that controls that figure" wording, I think that it would be decided by the player controlling Ozuul. It seems logical to me to follow...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

Alright, let's get this ironed out so we can move on to Testing. This is the best sense of opinions that I can get from the past couple of pages:

Slight preference for Overload

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

I can't say that I'm a big fan of Inspiration. The theme doesn't feel completely cohesive to me (especially for Evil Inspiration, which lets Sirenia "inspire" an opposing Sir Gilbert to attack his...

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

That wording seems fine to me (and I greatly prefer it to the "within 1 space" wording).

My general rule for choosing the order of this sort of power has always been that the controlling player...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

Is anyone opposed to taking a quick poll of our personal preferences for the second power name to decide things? I don't mind being outvoted if the majority prefers the stimulant reference, and I'd...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

That's an awesome card, SuperSamyon! It looks fantastic.

Also, I like the idea of using Nagrubs for Marro Gnids. Wish I had thought of it a year ago when I took the plunge on them.

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

Lava dunking is a great point that would likely lead to a lot of unfun interactions with Ozuul on certain maps. Lets take a stab at preventing it:

We could probably clean this up more still,...
