Well, whenever posts are deleted from a thread (by an admin), those posts literally go away, which has even caused some to lose +rep (from the deleted posts) at times, I believe.

For some reason, my post count dropped from the 200's down to 52. I can check my signature and view all of my posts, but for some reason the correct number suddenly doesn't show up in my post count...
