Re: Valley War I: "Big is Beautiful", Modesto, CA, 8/20

I brought these glyphs for Nexus:

-Brooch of Shielding (Disengage-perm)
-Heroic Rune (Attack +1-perm)
-Talisman of Defense (Defense +1-perm)
-Bracers of Teleportation (Teleportation-temp)...

Re: Big is Beautiful (Valley War I format)

Grim ran this, to either 3-2 or 2-3.[/QUOTE]
1-4. But, um, 3 of the losses were "close", like within a single wound... and in one of them I lost 4 Wolves of Badru to a single Isamu. So does that...

Re: Valley War I: "Big is Beautiful", Modesto, CA, 8/20

Thanks for organizing the event, killometer. And thanks for cmgames for the assist in running it. I had a great time.

Congrats Typhon on your victory! Awesome terrain-painting ideas too, and I see...

Re: Valley War I: "Big is Beautiful", Modesto, CA, 8/20

5 glyphs from the pool, will do.

I have built Nexus and will bring it.

I will build and bring Fissure too.

Re: Valley War I: "Big is Beautiful", Modesto, CA, 8/20

Maps!

Fire & Bone looks covered (onibaku06)

Nexus requires 2 BtfU. At a minimum, I can bring the terrain. Do I need to bring some glyphs too?

Fissure: I'll confer with Rico to see if we can...

Re: Future of Heroscape - Changes we can live with?

No to all. The poll didn't let me do that, though, so I put a yes for "same sculpt squads", just so I could register my "no" for the others.

Re: Another hero enhancing alternate rule concept

Hey that sounds familiar! 8) (see below)

At the time I posted the below I had only tried it a few times; I've since tried it a few more. I like it... and haven't felt the need to limit the number...

Re: TrollAndToad free shipping (11/6-11/7)

Agreed.

Nick at T&T got back to me and said my stuff is on the way, and I have a tracking number. So now I'm in a lot better mood about it than I was, but still disappointed overall.

Re: TrollAndToad free shipping (11/6-11/7)

I'm having a similar problem with them. I made a big order including 4 cases of boosters and I received exactly 5 of the 16 booster packs. (Side note: a big "huh?" on how that could have happened.)

Re: Hatamoto Taro - Unofficial / Official Errata?

It's the principle of it. I cannot abide a Samurai hero with a cruddy attack! Even the official Attack 2 is insulting, but 1 would be ridiculous. At least he could still have some use in the...

Re: Hatamoto Taro - Unofficial / Official Errata?

He should be like the old playtest card shown above, but with Attack 4.

Toughness should work against all attacks, not just normal ones. It is NOT too powerful. See the Warforged.

Re: Recommend a card shuffler?

Several years ago I had a similar quest and failed. The only ones I could find were flimsy, battery-powered only, and held at most 4 decks total. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that only the...

Re: Heroscape discontinued???

Most everything has already been said. Here's my two bits. On further reflection, I think the cancelling is actually a good thing, as I sort of hoped/sensed back in August (below). It was cool to get...

Re: Update: How to really save Heroscape: A lesson from hist

I think a modest reboot in a couple years is the likeliest way official HS will return.

Probably with repainted HS sculpts and terrain (i.e. no new sculpts).

edit: I would prefer it go back to...

Re: Who's quitting?

I'm not quitting.

I think that with one main exception, things are actually going to improve in the next year.

That exception is that there won't be any new pre-based pre-painted figures.

Re: Valkrill: Keeping or Trashing? Read OP before voting "No

A single "evil" general makes perfect sense. That was Utgar. What doesn't make sense is having five who can only be "good".

Valkrill was created as part of the whole strategy to push D&D. Yuck....

Re: Valkrill: Keeping or Trashing? Read OP before voting "No

No.

I think Valkrill is a D&D General and doesn't fit Classic. I also don't like the name. How about making a set of D&D Generals someday and putting him there?

More thoughts:

- I also...
