Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Red wording looks better now.
I had the same thoughts on my wording attempt, sadly. :-P
Your last paragraph in your last post agrees with what I intuitively believed when I first answered...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Not sure what you have in red there is reading clearly, A3n, and I don't know your intent well enough to suggest alternatives.
For the imperfect wording, maybe something along the lines of "if...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
The wording is probably imperfect. I believe the intent is that if they have a power that allows them to avoid rolling defense dice against the attack (i.e. successful Spidey-Sense roll) then...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Some of that is just game balance, but even non-SS figures can resist getting knocked back (dodging, twisting, avoiding, even summoning their mortal strength, etc.). They're just not strong enough...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Should say,
"we must roll one unblockable attack die against Solomon Grundy and one unblockable attack die against Joker for Knockback Damage."
A3n did you happen to have the file for...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Ah, yeah, single roll instead of multiple. Good catch.
I think as long as you note it in the test and any effect it might've had on the results, using Knockback in testing is fine. It mildly...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
I'm pretty rusty on the rules, so seems like I had a few things wrong there. Apologies!
When figures collide and have to roll for knockback damage the player controlling the affected figures...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
1. I'd have to look up the rules to see what exactly you're discussing there. Sounds like an inconsistency to me, but I can't be sure without looking (and itching to get back to this playtest, so...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Doesn't water change the mechanic of falling damage?
Water interacts with falling damage in a specific way outlined in those rules, yes. And it interacts differently in these ones. :-)

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
1) Good
2) I think some folks are/were making the mistake of interpreting based on theme, not the mechanics themselves. It's always good to look at mechanics first, then interpret how it shows...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
I think what he's asking is, if water prevents a figure from moving back (since figures have to stop immediately when they enter a water space), does that trigger Knockback Damage the same way...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
D.O.s are considered the same as figures for these rules. A wall that's not a D.O. would be a terrain feature. If you can't go through it, then it stops the movement and the figure would receive...

Re: The Book of Knockback Optional Rules
Blob doesn't stick to other characters ... they stick to him. He can choose to move away from them when he wants to, with normal leaving engagement rules applying.
Now, let's start back with this...
