Re: Amberhive Queen Public Playtesting

I know that we are not play testing the bees, but I feel that they and the queen should be in the same army. Also, a range of 5 from the queen instead of 4 would help them a lot. I might play test...

Re: Amberhive Queen Public Playtesting

She is single based, no?

I feel sad we loose the interaction with other insects on this iteration. Hope to see that kind of power one day :)
She was for the tournament, but not now,...

Re: Amberhive Queen Public Playtesting

just a thought from play testing them the last time, The queen should be a single base so you have a chance to protect her. A double base is too hard to move and protect on most boards. Just my two...

Re: Amberhive Queen Public Playtesting

I played these in the original play test tournament and have to agree. The queen died too quickly (since you have to keep her close to the bees). The +2 defense helps a bit, but it is tough to...

Re: Ziggo Public Playtesting

It was hard for Tiamat to get him in front of the brigands to take the taunt. I was shooting from range so Ziggo behind couldn't use taunt. It did work one time, but it is hard to roll. I would...

Re: Ziggo Public Playtesting

Do you have a link to the game I could look at?
No, we did it in person. We will keep trying him to see. We ran him with the Brigands and he did not help much. maybe at that price he is...

Re: The Book of Wildwood Runner

Adding Rygarn to the build lets you be even more aggressive with the OM (it just sacrifices 90 points). I still think 2 runners would be better than Rygarn, just sharing a thought.

Re: OHS S41 Delta Duels - Championship

Just so I understand. For example a 220 Mok was 200 for the tournament and will now be 180 (another 20 down) going forward?
No, Mok was 220 in the event and is 200 "going forward".

I...

Re: Welcome to the Engineers of Valhalla

My thought was to have lots of ideas in the first stage of the workshop. If someone wants to move it to the next step, they can request that the evaluators take a look at it. Hopefully there are a...

Re: Interactive Terrain Brainstorming thread

Massive rethink to make things simpler!! The Obelisk radiates energy that disrupts special powers. If you are sitting on one of the six hexes surrounding the Obelisk, you cannot use any special...

Re: Welcome to the Engineers of Valhalla

S1R, this is awesome!!! So much great thought.

I am thinking about how you manage movement from stage to stage within the workshop. Should we have a workshop team that is separate from the...

Re: Engineers of Valhalla Brainstorming Thread

I really like the idea of "zero" level quicksand. I also always wondered why it was all over the island in gilligan's Island!

I also wondered why they came up with special rules for snow (that...

I print mine upside down. the extra bumps from the supports just adds to the texture of the spider and I do not loose legs when removing the supports. You also might want to thin the supports...

Re: Welcome to AotV and FAQ! (Read this first!)

Tiamat and I would love to help with play testing. Are we using just AofP characters, or mixing them in with CV heroscape armies?

Looking for good maps for Heat of the Battle

We are running some Heat of the Battle games tomorrow. Any suggestions for good maps? I know that we can use about any one, but thinking that there might be some that people particularly like.

Re: How Magical Really Is 4 Defense?

What I have found (that ties into the survivability concept) is early loss. Being able to survive the first attack with most of your positioned pieces for a counter is what makes 4 defense dice so...
