My friend Zack said that Role Player would be good, though Sagrada has a similar dice drafting mechanic and is lighter and quicker, and less prone to AP. I did play that one and liked it.

I've played Blood Rage, and own Kemet and Scythe. Good games, but I don't think a 7 year old would be a good age for them.
