Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
I was enjoying this, but as a participant in the last round I thought I'd sit this one out to give others a go. It's been more than a week, so I'll jump in and get it moving again.

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
Is the main event the Reverse the Whip one (if I have that format name right)? That changes the army-building goals fairly dramatically (and in ways I'm not that excited about, albeit without...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
Totally fine by me... except it's not your turn. I don't remember if we formalised it, but I thought the idea was that the "winner" of one draft sets the next. That's looking like Flameslayer93 at...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
I think it should be up to whoever is setting the cards to define the exact format, rather than blanket rules. If someone doesn't like the current set-up, they can just wait for the next one.

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
I was pretty happy with my final army: Tul-Bak-Ra, Dund, Onyx Vipers and Death Knights x2.
Of all the unreliable powers in the pool, Frenzy is among the best and there's enough range knocking...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
It seems odd to be needing to argue that Kaemon is a worthwhile unit. I guess that's the fun of the drastically different metagames these small-pool drafts have. Three points, that are mostly...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
I think Players 1, 2 and 4 all have a fighting chance. 2 would probably be my pick as the army that'd come out on top.
I was undone by my relative unfamiliarity with units between about Wave 8...

Yes in general to DS's points, but especially this. People's different opinions are what makes it not obvious what'll happen, which makes it fun.

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
I had an idea about this (and agree it'd be fun to do again): what if we come to consensus on who "won" the draft (with Kolakoski the final arbiter if needed) and that person becomes the next host...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
Agreed. On further thought I think there are two primary factors for a better army from this pool, and then a lot of secondary ones: avoid Moltenclaw and get Krug. Interestingly(?), if everyone...

Re: 16 Card Mock Draft
A lot depends on the spread of the units within the tiers, I think.
I think the biggest spread is in Tier 1, with Moltenclaw significantly below the other options. If all the other tiers had...
