Re: Public Design Workshop

Seems like Starchalla should have some kind of "Negotiation" or "Diplomatic Solutions" type power.

DIPLOMATIC SOLUTION
If a figure you control is attacked and at least one skull is rolled, roll...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Rhino

He's an interesting comparison piece to Juggernaut. Very similar vibe, but I think Rhino is a lot better than ol' Marko. And a lot cheaper.

Re: Public Design Workshop

Interesting design, but the Lantern Corps is broad enough to make drafting a bumbling idiot character difficult without a "turn with out an order marker" hook.

Maybe something like this:

LOSER...

Re: Tickle's Public Design Workshop

Maybe, just to give him a different flavor:

CHAIN TRIP
If Hellfire is unengaged, once per turn when a small or medium figure whose base is no more than 6 levels above or below Hellfire's base...

Re: Tickle's Public Design Workshop

Hellfire seems like he might have a bit of redundancy on his card...plus we've done sooooo many "Chain Grab" powers and they tend to be a bit irrelevant. Is there anything else cool he does?

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Chameleon

Chameleon is one of those figures who's card is so clever and seems so fun when you read it, but has very little power in reality because at his core his power of taking away order markers generally...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Electro

Pretty stout special attack too. Only issue is he's probably not going to survive more than 1-2 attacks in the superscape world.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark IV

Sure, the issue is Hasbro Iron Man is pretty similar, costs 10 points less, and synergizes with both Fan4 and really benefits from Stat boosters like Starlord and Cap.

The second special can be a...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark III

It sucks that this a card dripping with Theme-y goodness... that will rarely hit the battlefield because Theme-y goodness doesn't always translate to playability.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark II

Honestly a pretty good deal for 150 points. More than likely you're going to move one figure a turn (keep in mind you can use it to move your own figures up, too), and a decent normal attack if you...

Re: Poll: Favorite C3G Design by LD: SirGalahad

Not the strongest competitively I'm sure, but I have fond memories of playtesting:

1. Mr. Terrific
2. Hercules
3. Amazon Warriors

Re: C3G TTS Tourney: Low point figures only

Cool idea. Might want to consider limiting the startzone to like 12 hexes or something to reduce the impact of squads... at this level they have a large potential to be dominant.

Re: The Book of War Machine (Avengers) (Vote 4 Public Playte

Re: The Book of Korg - VOTE for Initial Playtesting

I think the Special Attack needs rethought, it's counterintuitive to the design. His first two powers set up him getting engaged, and then he has a Special that is only effective if he is not...

Re: The Book of Korg - Breathing

I like that take on Warbound. Better conveys the whole "you mess with him, you mess with me" approach and makes it a little less of a keyword. I think you could streamline the power a little like...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Black Adam

You'll rarely not have fun when you're rolling 7 dice, and the lightning strike is a nice bonus. Courage of Mehen is nice for reducing incentive to target him with D20 powers. He's probably more...

Re: The Book of Korg - Breathing

I don't really know the World War Hulk storyline, so it's hard for me to comment on theme too strongly, but the name of Warbound (and Hulk's tendency to be on offense) makes me think the power should...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gorilla City Warriors

I'm pretty far gone from the meta of C3G these days, but these guys were a ton of fun to play back in the day. Definitely punishing against heroes.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage

It's always bothered me that he has to roll at least 1 shield to get his power to work. It's not like he has to "set" his impenetrable skin. It's just impenetrable. Even if he doesn't see the...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Anyone else see The Suicide Squad yet?

I thought it was good, not great. Definitely what the first one SHOULD have been, but nothing groundbreaking at this point.

Re: The Book of Yondu - Initial Playtesting

Worth noting that in the 2nd playtest, Yakka Arrow Frenzy shouldn't have been as effective as it was. When you destroy a common figure with the power, it should effectively end as you could not...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hulk I

Hulk probably would have been better with a slower "cool off mechanic"... this is an example of a card being better thematically but worse mechanically than the original. It's the sort of thing that...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Wonder Man

I've always been a little surprised his Personality is Loyal, when Wonder Man has had something of a treacherous past.

I've also always thought Celebrity Status should make it harder for commons...
