Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 6/23/20: Vishania]

Thanks! I agree with your assessment that she's probably underwhelming outside of the endgame, but it's difficult to fix that while still maintaining this design (the fix that comes to my mind is to...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

I would say yes. Overclocking only adds 2 to his attack that turn, but it doesn't force him to actually make an attack.[/QUOTE]
So if someone Enslaves him, they can choose to simply take a wound and...

Re: [Pod 0] Tetsuo Tyrell (Jace, Investigator) - Editing

I like that change thematically, but the consensus was to base it off of his own damage instead to reduce the times where Tetsuo kills his target before Mind Jacking them.

I would say yes....

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Rujin looks much more dynamic and engaging than his last iteration. I really like most of the changes that have been made here.

Devour working once per round doesn't really concern me. I'm...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 6/23/20: Vishania]

I took a bit longer in posting the next unit than I had meant to, but figuring out a way to create Treasure Glyph cards is proving more troublesome than I had expected. I guess the only form of...

Re: [Pod 2] Nahiri, Fury in Stone

Jumping in really quick to offer my :2cents: on Dragonheart Blade:

I think that it really helps in selling the theme that she is channeling the powers of an actual dragon. With just a Special...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 6/14/20: Icarian Cultist]

Thanks! I really like superfrog's Agrah Fenh, too, and I made sure to make Ghent Cre a Cultist so that she gets any synergies with the Nhah Scirh. :)

Re: [Pod 0] HONORED SOUL-GUIDES (Lantern Geists) - Editing

There hasn't been much feedback in the Viking books since I brought up the question, but the consensus seems to be that the figure should be present. I think that the wording of all of the spirit...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 5/31/20: WWII Tank Hero]

Having once learned more about Spider-Man giving birth to himself than I ever wanted to from a friend, I have to agree that comics can be downright strange sometimes. It's always funny finding weird...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 6/14/20: Ghent Cre]

Well, my college's free access to PhotoShop is ending soon, so I figure that it's time to brush off some of the drafts that I have lying around and get them posted while I have the chance. Here's an...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 5/31/20: WWII Tank Hero]

Same here. Now I need to go out and find a matching tank model that is available for cheaper.

I completely agree on Triple Carry, especially since each carried figure can be moved in...

Re: [Pod 2] Nahiri, Fury in Stone

Elf didn't feel right. I like Icarian if that's a thing (Sorin has the same complexion, so maybe him too)

Dragon worshiper doesn't sit right, especially since as you said there isn't a Dragon in...

Re: [Pod 1] PYRIA (Chandra Nalaar, Pyromancer) - Playtesting

I agree with Scytale. Pyria could work just fine with 4 attack or with 3 attack and a reduced price. Which one fits the best is more of a question of the set as a whole. Right now, we don't have many...

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

I'll vote yes to falling damage. If playtesting shows that it doesn't add much to the design, however, then that's the first thing that I want to cut.

Re: Green Wyrmling discussion and playtesting

FWIW, I think that Charos' 9 Life is just as defining (if not moreso) to him as Counterstrike is. It would almost feel weird for a mini-Charos to not have more life than than the other Wyrmlings, and...

Re: [Pod 0] HONORED SOUL-GUIDES (Lantern Geists) - Editing

We definitely need to determine the interaction between revival and Spirit Powers for any kind of revival draft for these guys. I've asked the question over in Finn the Viking Champion...

Re: The Book of Finn the Viking Champion

If Finn the Viking Champion is revived by the Glyph of Sturla, does his Warrior's Attack Spirit persist on the card?

Powers like Morsbane's Rod of Negation imply that the marker is a reminder, not...

I think that it's safe to call this vote now. NecroBlade, do you mind updating the thread to reflect that we're back in Editing?

Also pinging Scytale to let him know that this one is ready for...

Re: [Pod 0] Ozuul (Eldrazi Ruiner) - Editing

I know that there were some concerns raised about Gravity Pull applying falling damage, because the precedent is that placement powers do not have falling damage unless specifically noted. For newer...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 5/31/20: WWII Tank Hero]

That's totally fair. If it helps, I've done a bit more research and found out that the scale isn't as unreasonable as I had first thought. Several light tanks in WWII were just a bit over 7 feet...
