Re: What Board Game Are You Currently Playing?

Monsterpocalypse I played last weekend with a buddy.

The game is really fun when played right, but like HS is out of print with little hope for revival.

Re: What's for dinner?

Tonight dinner is six ounces of turkey, eight ounces of green beans and a ten ounce salad with two tablespoons of mayo and a good squirt of course ground mustard for dressing.

Yum!

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

Just got my first games in!
The first was the first scenario of the SotM book, only we used the Master rules instead of fiddling with the basic rules. I played the Sgt, Shiori and Sonlen, my 6 year...

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

Not yet.
The kids got a pretty good haul, too, so their stuff is rather all over. I might get to play a bit tonight after my upcoming 13 hour day of work.

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

WOW!
So I got what was expected in the Swarm of the Marro and Marvell sets, which was very awesome, but then there was the third box that I got from a friend. It turned out to contain what looks...

Re: Fanscape Revival Project

One of my harshest concerns with getting into Heroscape at this late date is the fact that the game is no longer in production. It is good to see that there is so much in the way of continuing fan...

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

Of course the true way around the proxy at the tourney question is to go run the event my self and include the provision for the custom units and proxies.

I can hardly wait the next three days to...

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

Thanks for the gazetteer.

Re: A rather well stocked beginners hoard beneath the tree.

As to waiting, my wife will make me set a good example for the kids.

As to the addiction, it will kill me a great deal more slowly than the food was.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!

So I told a few friends I was going to get into Heroscape and one sold me what looks like 2 or 3 master sets worth of stuff for a very generous sum, but my wife made me promise to wrap it and put it...

Re: Thoughts on the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

I'm not scholarly enough to break it all down, but I really quite liked the movie. I saw it in 3d, 24fps.
