Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

Hopefully the deep discussions were about what went wrong and hopefully there was a large mirror in the room to help them figure that out.

I don’t anticipate hearing anything more about it.

Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

I was on the Hereoscapers Fb page when the early art concepts were being dropped there. This is someone unscientific, I know, but I paid attention to the "Likes" on the different units that were...

Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

Great post campaign analysis by Sir Heroscape on YouTube. He stayed 100% positive throughout the campaign but in this video he lets his true feelings out and makes great observations about why it...

Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

Totally agreed. It was just one more thing in a pile of things. I think ultimately most people were like "OK, cool, whatever" on the factions. There was just possibly a missed opportunity to...

Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

If you’re referring to my previous post, I don’t either. I was explaining the issue with the factions that nyys was having a hard time with.

Re: AoA:Vanguard Campaign Postmortem

I think it was the stylistic differences referenced earlier and in other threads that put people off of these factions. They weren’t the pirate faction or the cyborg faction, they were all much more...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

And regardless of your platform you need to be aware of what your competitors are doing. If you’re going for high quality minis and a price point like that, you’re going up against companies that...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

For as much as I question the decision making, I’m sure they’re just as upset this was not a successful project. I may not agree with how it was run, but I believe they made their choices with...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I got it out of my system a while ago when I saw how it was being mismanaged and likely wasn’t going to fund.

Not sure what folks were expecting to hear today. Surprise we already made it and...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

There will be a lot of commentary on what happened with this campaign, but the most concise statement I’ve heard that sums it all up for me is “they didn’t deliver the product the customer wanted,...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

They included some extra promos in the base offering, but the product is the same as what went to retail. Same with the first two expansions included with the Mythic Tier. I’m not saying the boxes...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

They would have had to do the campaign similarly to Heroquest where they actually sold and produced retail sets and not a one off mega product only available once through the campaign. So instead of...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

This is going to be the hard part for them to figure out because I generally think many would spend more than $250 if given the ability to add what they want. I do think the numbers for this campaign...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Don't worry we'll start a haslab to pay off your student loans[/QUOTE]

Based on recent Haslab performance that statement is not as reassuring as you intended it.

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I read that as if the campaign is successful. If it were to relaunch I don’t see why they couldn’t include the exclusives again since they were never produced the first time around. Just my :2cents:

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

It came from the Board Game Insiders podcast. Stephen Buonocore suggested that Hasbro could be 'shady' (when they were talking about Scape happening regardless of this campaign) and uptick the...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

I was just thinking the same thing. It’s so strange even if they had given up hope to be this quiet in the last 7-10 days of the campaign. Were these same guys not even involved with the Heroquest...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

Geez Louise! 39 Magic sets released in 2022, up from 15 in 2019. I can see why the Magic community is feeling burned out. And that’s not good for all the shops that rely heavily on Magic sales.

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Found a RotV for $4 at a Kmart in Florida back in 2008. It was fun popping into places and looking for scape back in the day. Never knew what you might find.

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

I wonder if this is primarily pointing at the Magic 30th anniversary boosters that were announced at $1,000?

This is something about corporate leadership I don’t get. If something is working and...

Re: Heroscape: Age of Annihilation is here! Back it on Hasla

It was the play through videos that got me most excited for this to succeed. Seeing new official units in action was a lot of fun. Just like in the old days when a new wave was on the horizon and the...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Unpainted, preassembled miniatures are the norm today in gaming. Maybe not the higher end miniature war gaming where the minis need to be cut, cleaned, and assembled more like models, but in broader...
