Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD 2014

I've been so busy I wasn't sure I was going to have the time to play this month, but I'm in, if you wind up finding a venue and playing after all.

Game Kastle is a solid suggestion, if they can...

Re: Personwholives Randomly Updated Customs Thread

It's time for a new custom. Together with Roninvalentina, I present the Black Bog Boomers:

Black powder boom special attack
Range 5. Lob 12. Attack 2.

Re: C3V Public Playtesting Sign-up

Whoever sees this first can sign me up for whichever unit they're in charge of, except marutuk, who I finally got my playtest submitted for.

Re: NorCal Event - Pod Draft

This is why I need to check my calendar more often. I have a wedding on the 15th of March..... so I'm out that day.

I'm in. Can't play the 8th, though - I'm running a netrunner tournament that day.

You can also put me on the list for any one (or even two) map(s).

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

Ronin, I'm going to try to get a playtest or two in on Sunday, possibly Monday, if I have time. Is there anything in particular that you want me to look at?

Also, should we take a look and see...

Re: Shopping for SoV/C3V minis

Um...didn't the Eilan Sidhe have some partial nudity?
I suppose they do; I forgot about them. Then again, we put the males only card in the official book.
I have always assumed we...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

I think the reason my point totals were so much higher has to do with my matchups somewhat (my armies had a bit of rock paper scissors going on). I think the armies I chose were all reasonable...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

Ziggy, my games on Crevasse got to 15-6, 17-2, and 15-2, usually in about 40-45 minutes.

As to the center glyph on Vigilant, I'd agree that's not ideal. All the glyphs probably need to be...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

A playtest report for you:
I played a few games on crevasse. 15 points seemed a reasonable goal, especially if you get one bonus for occupying all the glyphs in a round. The format seemed pretty...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

Rather than think of this as a problem to make a rule for, I think this should be simply a consideration in army design. Design your army with the understanding that Uncommons might have a slight...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

For the tiebreaker: Since the rounds are a bit shorter than our normal 1 hour, I would do the following:
When time is called, the current round is finished. If the players are tied, both players...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

That seems unnecessarily complicated. Is there a particular reason for that? Would it be broken if a werewolf lord came back with a couple of markers from his companions? If I just get "any 3...

Re: The Book of Morgoloth

This box is pretty hard to find now. You may have some luck with another scaper who bought an extra, but that is not me, I'm afraid. I got my one box, and didn't think to buy a second when they...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

You didn't exactly answer this question: Do you remove all markers when you bring a figure back (lycanthropy, negation, etc), or just wounds?

Also, if I were to bring a werewolf lord army - do my...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

I thought about that one, but with the Fight On power, wouldn't this not matter - as the figure is placed on his own card to send back out into battle? Which power takes priority? Or, if "uses of...

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD '13

I think clarifying that extra move as "takes a turn, but may not attack" or "may move up to its movement value" is going to be important. If you can't use during movement abilities (like trample...

Re: Toolbox for C3V and SOV ideas

Ok, a short downtime, and I figured out how to do it. Unfortunately, the time it takes to make each row, even copy-pasting it, is a bit time consuming (which is to say - my install is done, so I...

Re: Toolbox for C3V and SOV ideas

That's awesome. My only suggestion: make it a spreadsheet. As it is now, with page breaks, it gets hard to follow. You could do columns as:
Line & Set, Name, Pic, abprices, C3V usage

Having...

Re: Shopping for SoV/C3V minis

Thoughthammer is closing up shop. They have some of the AT-43 figures we've used available fairly cheap. Worth a look.

Re: Suggestions for the C3V Design Team

I said discounted, not discontinued.

Fair enough. I'd imagine it would have been pretty hard to pull together a design in 30 days or so that felt like it was good enough to think about...
