Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Initial Playtest)

Yeah, I thought opinions of project members were meant to be relevant. Apparently not, based on Spidey's comments.

Re: The Book of Thanos (Infinity Quest)

This got posted on AlternateHistoryHub (a channel I occasionally enjoy checking out) today - just stumbled on it. Seems relevant and... fun?

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Initial Playtest)

That's absolutely right, Mr.Nobody. If a character/design/concept that I don't have a real interest in ends up going in a direction that feels negative to me, as long as it doesn't negatively impact...

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - Wave 28 - MARVEL COSMIC

Honestly, I think that's kind of what Event Heroes are: Single figure armies with built in scenarios. Thanos definitely is true to the spirit of the Event Hero concept and executes it...

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

This. Absolutely this. (Well, I do think 2,000 is overblown when it comes to an estimate, but I do think they're being willfully undershot.)

One tiny nerdy quibble, though - T-Rexes aren't from...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Go all green and add Gamora.[/QUOTE]
When testing them, I actually did do the 'go all green' theme once and add the original J'onn J'onzz. Works quite well - he's a big flyer with hitting power,...

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

Yes, but let's face it - when it comes to bread and butter dinos, this is THE dinosaur. THE most iconic one. Ask any kid (and frankly any adult who isn't trying to be clever...) to name one dinosaur...

Re: The Book of Mars T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

Alright, looks as though we're going ahead with this, but I have to be honest here - this direction sucks any interest I had in this design, and, in so doing, the Dinosaur faction as a whole - which...

Cosmic Marvel's not listed in the Books By Release.

Re: The Book of Sauron Valley T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

It isn't just a matter of making it look good, to me. It just feels like boring, generic, lazy design. A T-Rex should be simple, but it most definitely shouldn't be boring.

Re: The Book of Sauron Valley T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

Why would the T-Rex be destroyed if you don't roar? Why is the player's action like this effecting the battle?
I get the desire to keep it simple, but this doesn't feel the right way to go about it....

Re: The Book of Sauron Valley T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

Kool-Aid Man's abilities actually work as abilities which have a point to them.
This doesn't. The design in the SP feels like an oversized pout.

Re: The Book of Sauron Valley T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

I'm surprised there isn't more concern over a power like this which is essentially a non-power and feels customy in the extreme. I'd have less concerns with a non-powered card than this.
I'd hate...

Re: The Book of Sauron Valley T-Rex (Vote for Initial)

So we have a single power that actually does nothing in game and asks the player to do something potentially embarrassing and, again, unrelated to gameplay?

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Slashers are a tonne of fun, but they fall into the Fan 4 trap of 'a bit too swingy to be truly competitive/solid in testing to me.

Let me think about this more, though I will say I'm a solid fan...

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)

Doesn't feel quite right... could be reworked into a fear effect, though:

TRIUMPHANT ROAR
If this T-rex destroys a figure, for the remainder of the round, all opponents' figures without the...

Great work, chaps! :) I haven't been here too long, but seeing this wave drop is definitely a moment. Here's to doing this again in 2029! :)

Re: The Book of Savage Land T-Rex (Breather)

I'd be open to the idea, but it would need to be on a card where that gimmick felt absolutely justified, like that Axe Cop character Ronin mentioned an interest in. I don't feel this is the right...
