Re: Is Taelord really that bad?

I was just thinking about the choice often made between moving to attack and staying within Tae's aura. Do you think Taelord would be worth his point value if we changes his aura to act as an initial...

Re: Your Most Unique Heroscape Game

A while back me and my friends set up a Left 4 Dead game on a map that covered more than half of a pingpong table, used Lego, and a TON of zombie proxies. We designed cards for each of the playable...

Re: Strategies for Pirates!

This scenario really captures my imagination. What could look better than Ne-Gok-Sa swinging on a rope to your opponent's deck to grapple with a grounded Cyprien? And, who other than Kaemon Awa could...

Re: Seattle, WA - NHSD

I'll try my best, if classes allow. If I do come, I will most likely have two others with me. Thanks for taking this on!

AF

Edit: Make that three tag-alongs. :)

Re: Seattle NHSD TOURNAMENT 10/17/09

I'll try to be there, and I might bring my brother and Clay!

The set up seems complex, but then, so did HS when I first got it!

Re: 100% Theoryscape

The AE or Rechets still count for spaces used? That doesn't seem right... Is there a special reason for this rule or is it just to frustrate players?

Re: 100% Theoryscape

I think wilting is much more potent with family members younger than yourself. Though I do tend to point out tactical advantages to younger opponents, I usually do so that I can feel like I'm...

I believe you are referring to micro-evolution? Where the evolution and loss of genetic information within a species...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Ah, a prophetic dream! Look out for wave 10. There shall be a seagull figure in it that destroys soulborgs. ;)

But that was cool. +rep

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Hey, I was just listing squads. Those little apes took down Zelrig losing only one squad. (Man, I wish I could play like that...)

But yeah, come to think of it, they did have trouble with...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Just to get this off my chest: I'm a Christian, and as of yet have to see sufficient evidence supporting evolution. Your observation about the seagulls is good, however. I just think it's ironic...

Re: Do they suck? Or could they be good?

Fyorlag Spiders -small squad that only bonds with one hero. Unlikely and difficult to set up special ability, I would give these guys an abilty to move more than just three a turn. But I suppose with...

Re: Seattle Area Gameday - Saturday 6/20/09

Hey, I might be there. But I'm confused about this drafting army parts idea. Would I screw that up if I was 3 hours late?

And if we aren't doing the draft thing, are proxies allowed? I don't...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Myself having never gone to a tourney (shame on me! ;)) I can only speculate at the fluctuation in d20 fear. But it would seem that the specific power, like Atlaga's witherwood thing, would dictate...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Overkill can be useful, you know. I have never once said, "OH, I wish I had rolled one less skull on that Izumi." OVerkill can provide peace-of-mind, and in some cases, just the activator for a...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

I agree with Ollie (+ rep) glyphs can fill different needs. The use of powerful glyphs can balance a drastically asymmetric map. I think back to a cliffside map I made once, it was almost impossible...

Re: 100% Theoryscape

Well, Kolakoski, I am split between armies 2 and 4. While on the one hand, Raelin is helpful to the defense-deficient Romans, more synergy is offered between the AE and Marcus. Army number four,...

Re: Common Squads Moving Together?

In fact, flying figures are more useful when you spread them out to deal with pockets of squads or straggling heroes (minions in particular- because they can take a hit and kill efficiently)....

Re: You're Most Lucky Heroscape Experience

My biggest  moment was a pickup game with my brother. He chose Charos, DW9K and two squads of 10th reg. I had Cyprien (unsupported by Sonya), 4X Zombies, Syvarris, and Isamu.

First my...

Re: Religious Debate for or against HS

I think Heroscape is gravitating more Christian fans. Maybe it's the Templar? ;)
