Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Oh, for sure. I know several people (existing players) who have no intention of backing until they get some ideas about the designs in the set.

Someone like me who's interested in the terrain and...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

OK, I think I see the disconnect. We're saying that the fact that they're doing a bad job of marketing to newer players suggests that the don't care about new markets. You agree they're doing a bad...

Re: Sherman Davies' DC customs

I dunno. I think the penny’s gotta be able to roll somehow. Or at least fall and squish someone.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

I’ve been keeping that Terragon Gaming tab open. I’d prefer to be able to add on to my existing hex collection but won’t rule out going after hexes in a different way.

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Im hilarious :-P

Any more spin and Id accuse you of being a merry-go-round!

Real talk, though: do you feel the information available about the game on the campaign page itself is at...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

To be more technical, the campaign is about probing interest in a $250 set of figures and terrain. I don't honestly think a $250 bundle would sell well on the shelves of Target, so it's fairly...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

I keep seeing this argument but every time I walk into a FLGS I see boxes and boxes of painted HeroClix figures, and they're not really much more expensive than they were when HS was in production....

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

This set includes Thaelenk Tundra, it's just unpainted. :-P
Good one. Some real John Cena energy here.
 Not sure how to take that, but I did love him in Peacemaker.

Re: C3G Ally and Fan Rewards Thread

I think it's a nice rule to have in place when production is popping and bandwidth is stretched. I'm happy to suspend a lot of normal operating procedure right now, though, as we're at an odd...

Re: C3G Ally and Fan Rewards Thread

Production rate being really low right now is a big reason it doesn't bother me.

Re: The minis will not be a sea of unpainted gray

Do we have an actual breakdown of the terrain included yet? As someone who's considering backing for terrain and selling the minis to recoup some cost (if I can scrounge together the budget) I'd be...

Re: C3G Ally and Fan Rewards Thread

I'm fine with his running this as one LD but eventually splitting the glyph into a separate thread. We've done that plenty of times in the past and doing it that way would have my vote now if that's...

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

So what I'm reading there (correct me if this seems wrong) is they're marketing this with the intent of it being successful based on 8,000 actual individual purchasers. With the hopes of a few...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

I agree. I'm hoping the campaigners start giving us some gameplay information so the conversation can shift in that direction! Right now folks don't really have much else to respond to.

I...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

Yeah, I think both sides of this are really effectively arguing different points that don't at all contradict each other.

It's a good value at $250 if you want what's in the set. Not everyone...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!

It's the absolute FIRST and most repeated response I've seen in other places (even more than "Unpainted? Forget this!").
That's not been at all my observation on BGG or Facebook. That...

Re: The Book of Giganto (The Mole Monster)

Also worth starting to think about how we want Mole Man, Moloids, and this guy to work as a more cohesive army in 2.0 (Mole Machine too, for that matter!).

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

I'm having trouble interpreting the chart in the OP. What's the daily breakdown of backers for the first five days?

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

Picking up speed compared to what? First day (as with most crowdfunders) was still by far the biggest day for backers.

Re: The Book of Giganto (The Mole Monster)

We probably want some no additional turns language on the first power, yes?

Re: Age of Annihilation - Backer Trend and Discussion

I'm happy there was less of a drop off than I was expecting, yeah. 1200 more in these next two days to keep us on pace with the Heroquest funding, so it'd have to be a pretty huge Thursday and...

We can't even get registration and password change emails to go through reliably, so I'm gonna say "no." lol
