i don't think she'd be odd at all in any of the Operative synergies, current or planned. She's the right power level.

In my experience with 2v1 games, 3/4 to 2/3 of the solo army split up between the other two.
So in this case about 850-950 per team so your 1000 point army may be close.

I'm just thinking of future Mutant Students and I know at least one would be cool with some sort of Counterstrike/defensive power and +2 defense could be big. But I was mainly trying to get the idea...

Are all the students he works with also "Quirk-humans"? just curious because I know there is a planned "mutant student" thing going and I'm not sure how +2 defense is going to impact them.

It very well could be.
Could be an common/ uncommon event? You can draft said event multiple times if you have multiple archers.
