Re: The Curse of Feylund
Ah, I see what you're getting at now. Yes, that is legitimately something to avoid.
I did this same thing in the first story, and intend to do it in the third story. You need a wrap up chapter,...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
Response to TAF:
The traitor in question is a toss up between Aldir and Denethor (now you got me doing it), depending on who's point of view you're looking at. I like to leave little questions like...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
Yes, Ilrin has no defense against Dilmir's magic. The Council certainly has a point about what Dilmir could do or become; I don't think anyone is questioning that.
I do have trouble ascertaining...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
The use of parentheses are I believe a stylistic choice. While I can't find any examples off the top of my head, I'm sure several well-published authors use them.
That is of course irrelevant if...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
I realize I made a mistake, and never explained in the book how Alfimir/Elmir were able to counter the Asdelarcen spells. That was supposed to be a question asked by Dilmir, but the scene where the...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
No, both Inilidin and Endir are new characters. Also I apologize about the similarity in Elven naming conventions. That's a carry-over from the originals - a lot of the names were way too similar.

Re: The Curse of Feylund
Chapter one definitely takes place in the present. One of my struggles is how to denote when something happens in the past/future without breaking the fourth wall... although the connections you drew...

Re: The Curse of Feylund
The recap should do a pretty good job of conveying everything essential, and there is a bit of recap in the story itself. It's the little details which aren't covered - but being the author I can't...

Re: THE MOON HAS WINGS - a zombie story
Hmm, so it seems that my own concerns of having too much in addition to the zombies is actually a boon to readers like yourself. The undead only represent 1/3rd of the external threats of the story,...

Re: THE MOON HAS WINGS - a zombie story
AMIS As one who enjoys using zombies and vampires as antagonists in his writing, I'm kind of curious what you don't like about them, and what kept you coming back to this story despite that. Would be...

So I have this morning finished reading, and after gathering my thoughts for a couple of hours, am ready to commence with the review.
I'm going to break this down into a few sections, and then...

Re: THE MOON HAS WINGS - a zombie story
So I've read through chapter 21 and have some thoughts:
There's two criticisms I have, one a lot bigger than the other. I know, I know, criticisms again. But you've still got me hooked...

Re: THE MOON HAS WINGS - a zombie story
I've read through chapter 16. However, I did so on my phone, so I wasn't able to note grammar stuff for 13-16. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Generally, in what zombie movies I've seen, once the...

Re: THE MOON HAS WINGS - a zombie story
Now through chapter 13.
Some thoughts and further speculation:
To be honest this is starting to remind me a lot about the SYLO Chronicles by D J MacHale. That wasn't a zombie story - though it...
