Re: Corrupt a Wish: HeroScape Edition

Granted. Now you have to compete with the mass of people that want to get rich off HeroScape, creating a new national sport that you can never make the cut for.

I wish that my wife would play...

Re: The Book of Deathwalker 9000

A thought came to mind reading the battle report a post or two up.

DW9000 is a great figure for taking out Feral Trolls. With only 1 life, the troll never gets any additional dice against the DW,...

Re: The Book of Raelin the Kyrie Warrior SotM

I'll agree the new Raelin is more balanced. It's a bit like Hasbro realized that RotV Rae was too powerful, made a new one, then kind of forgot to say what to do with the one that was overpowered....

Re: White Wyrmling Pre-Release Discussion Thread

Strategically, I think the whites are just alright, around the same as the blue. It's basically a cone instead of a chain.

I see the wyrmlings as a cheap burst fighter. They have great movement...

Re: Black Wyrmling Pre-Release Discussion Thread

That sounds fun if you're willing to buy ALOT of dragons. Auggie's is already sold out out of goblins, I wonder how long wyrmlings will last. I'd assume most folks aren't going to have more than 2 or...

Re: SporktheSloth's battle reports

"Meanwhile, TinyBruce had his wyvern snatch up SF's fire elemental and landed him in the water, quickly killing it due to its negative element (Awesome Move!)."

How did the Wyvern move the...

Re: The Book of the Fen Hydra

ElvenEnvy, I disagree with your Taelord comment "only have to worry about 1 figure staying within the aura". That's the beauty of Raelin versus Taelord (not just in this instance but in just about...

Re: The Book of the Fen Hydra

I haven't played with the Fen Hydra yet, but have played a couple of games against it. Unless you bring something ranged and powerful against this beast, most figures costing less than 100 points or...

Re: Unit Debate #36 -- Quasatch Hunters Vs. Granite Guardian

Statwise, the two units are fairly similar. They have standard melee stats, with a decent attack and good defense, but the granite guardians eek out with 5 defense. It may seem that one extra move is...

Re: The Book of the Greenscale Warriors

I played against the greenscales last night. I set up a couple of armies to test out a few of the new D&D units. We played on Nexxus, available in the "Download>Maps>Dungeons" section.

Mine...

Re: The Book of the Sahuagin Raider

Even if there's only scattered water on your map, Fishsticks is a nice filler unit to get that finishing blow on a wounded hero. With fast movement and a modified slither, he might be just what the...

Re: The Book of Greater Ice Elemental

The Greater Ice Elemental (GIE) is a bit of an odd duck. It has stats similar to Drake's, but is vunerable to range. It's abilities lean towards stationary melee combat (engagement strike and...

Drake Alexander, Jandar's Champion

Drake lifted himself up with great effort and pain, and looked around the antechamber. Minions lay here and there, cut down, but that bastard Isamu has gotten away. His soulborg arm was shattered, is...

Re: Plastic Quality of D1 figs

I received my order from Cool Stuff Inc. today, Wednesday, which was pretty impressive since I ordered on Saturday. I received a 2nd Master Set 3, 3 Elemental Packs, 2 each of the phantom knights and...

Re: D&D Wave 11 available for PreRelease at CoolstuffInc

Just a heads up, one MS3, a 4-pack combo, and 4 boosters are just over $100, making you eligible for free shipping and getting you at least 2 of every booster sans heroes.

Re: Greenscale Warriors Pre-Release Discussion

Bolo, I'm not sure how telling that battle was when it comes to performance. With 2 20's from Kelda, the word I'd use to best describe the battle was "lucky".

Re: The Book of Feral Troll

That seems to be the case with a great many of the upcoming units. A few heroes that bond, some squads, but also a great many figures that will truly only shine in the appropiate scenario/dungeon...

Zounds! I definitely played the Troll incorrectly! I did indeed play him as Krug instead of on the card. Thanks for the catch, Mac. I wonder how much of a difference this would made....

Re: The Book of Feral Troll

I go the chance to finally play the troll last night, and I mostly agree with what's been said in the thread so far about niche gameplay.

Playing Room 1 in the MS3 Campaign showed me what the...

Jumping on the bandwagon (they are fun! They move slowly and are easy to catch up to...), I will wholeheartedly and entirely agree with fetelgeuse and Kroc when it comes to Zelrig being a fantastic...
