Re: Sports: NFL

Seahawks over 49ers. They are just a more solid team. While the 49ers have more weapons on offense, Seattle is decisively better at quarterback and to some extent running back. Plus, they're at...

Re: Sports: NFL

What an awful roughing the passer call. Newton spun into him and he made a tackle, where was the penalty?

And that unnecessary roughness on Munnerlyn on the first drive was almost as awful.

Re: Sports: NFL

Saints beat Seahawks. I'm just not that impressed by the Seahawks, and I feel like the Saints can pull this one out.

Panthers beat 49ers. Kaepernick just isn't a top caliber QB and I don't think...

Re: Sports: NFL

Alex Smith is a lot better than people give him credit for. I don't think Hoyer could ever be as good as him. His best receiver is a running back and they still tear people apart.

Re: Sports: NFL

I don't see why the Lions wouldn't go with Watkins; f you look at their roster you'd think they were a playoff team. As far as I can tell they really only need a new coach to be competitive.

Re: Sports: NFL

NFC North is there for the taking!

Still can't believe the Steelers just didn't run out the clock once they got to the goalline and kick a field goal.

Re: Sports: NFL

I think Tony Romo trying to put a mediocre team over the top. He feels like he has to do too much.

Re: Sports: NFL

It didn't look like a head to head hit at first, just helmet to chest, and so when we saw the blood my dad thought he had bit off his tongue. Not sure if that would've been better.

Re: Sports: NFL

I'm really into going to sporting events recently. High school football is more entertaining than the Bears though, and I like basketball even more. Love the small college basketball scene.

Re: Sports: NFL

At least you guys have Rodgers coming back at some point. We're pretty much at full strength and just dropped two in a row to the Steelers and the Buccaneers (ugh). If you beat us on Thursday,...

I like that reasoning now. Glad to see the Bears have embraced sabermetrics.

Re: Sports: NFL

What was Trestman gonna do with those timeouts at the end? Should've been calling them once the Lions got close. And taking a knee on the kickoff? Explain to me why you wouldn't lateral to Hester and...

Re: Sports: NFL

Can't believeI'm upset they left Cutler in for so long. The way McCown has played there was no reason to keep him out there once he started to slow up. He had no maneuverability and was throwing like...

Re: Sports: NFL

The Packers are such an amazing organization. They always seem to have competent players at every position, yet only 3 players on their roster have ever played for another team. They are so well-run...

Packers are still the best. Bears are out of the playoffs at this point though.

Re: Sports: NFL

Amendola and Talib are the ones I'd be worried about, especially Talib, he's really good.

Re: Sports: NFL

Thompkins didn't look that good imo. He only made one catch that wasn't a bobble from what I saw. Still, he's young, and I can see him becoming a decent WR2.

I think it's a definite possibility. He's only one season removed from 3 Kick/Punt Return TD's. and without having to worry about his role in the offense, he...

Because a defender speared him with his helmet and gave him a concussion in the second week of his career?[/QUOTE]

Re: Sports: NFL

Great work Bears. The 8th best linemen in the draft is well worth a first round pick. :brickwall: Seriously why?

Re: Sports: NFL

I think the reason people voted for that play was more about the whole 4th quarter of that game. It was one of the best comebacks in a few years. The Steve Young play it was up against wasn't...
