Re: D2 Sightings thread

Dragon's Lair in San Antonio has a bunch of D2 in stock, along with D1, wave 10, Snipers & Vipers reprints, the D&D master set and Fortress of the Archkyrie.

Re: Genres in Heroscape: A Study Revisited - through D1

Well, as someone who is unaware of the backstory for Sujoah and the spiders, they will always be sci-fi to me. :)

Re: Genres in Heroscape: A Study Revisited - through D1

Thanks for doing all the research on this, 1Mmirg. It's a very interesting look at Heroscape.

One quibble: I would classify Sujoah and the Fyorlag Spiders as sci-fi instead of (or in addition...

Re: new to Heroscape

If one side is defending a castle, to keep the game interesting, I suggest giving the attacker at least three times as many points as the defender.

Re: new to Heroscape

There are no official rules for bringing scaling ladders or siege towers. You would have to come up with your own rules for that.

Re: The Playgrounds of Valhalla

Here are a couple of my maps (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=29050). The first one might work for a large 6- or 8-player game (4-6 attackers and 2 defenders).

The second...

Re: The Texas Thread...and all are welcome

Crude and loud? I think I will fit in just fine! :D

I have a prior commitment this Sunday, but definitely let me know next time you play. Tuesdays evenings work fine for me, as long as it's not...

Re: What got you into Heroscape?

When it first came out, I read about the game over on The Miniatures Page (http://theminiaturespage.com/), but I couldn't find it where I lived. I finally snagged a copy (with the sparkly water...

Sounds like fun. If you have room in your next game, I'd love to join you.

Re: TT + VW Maps

I'd like to see something along these lines (Fire & Ice) also. I've tried coming up with something on my own, but I seem to have writer's (mapper's?) block whenever I try a Tundra/Volcarren mashup.

Re: The Texas Thread...and all are welcome

Hey y'all! I saw the Houston folks in another thread and the DFW people in this one. Any Heroscapers in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area?

Re: The Hobbit Campaign

Cool idea! I'd been thinking of something similar before the D&D set came out.

My idea was a what-if exercise, surmising what might have happened if Thorin & Co. set out for the lonely mountain...

Re: The Great Heroscape Split

I've never played in a tournament, and I like playing squads, but only in themed armies: Knights, orcs, samurai, agents, or marro.

Re: The DRCM. Chardar's dungeon crawls.

This looks interesting. I especially like the small maps and combats with few opponents. It looks like you could play several rooms quickly, and quick games are always good when you're strapped for...

Re: DesertScrb's maps

Thanks, NecroBlade!

I don't have any photos of my next map, but I cut and pasted a pic from VS for Glacier Pass. I had two squads of Dzu-Teh and Nilfheim, and I managed to hold off all but Jotun...

Hello all!

As a new member, I thought I should contribute some of my designs, so here you go:

This map was even bigger in VirtualScape, but I had to change it a little so it would fit on the...

Re: Heroscape water (& more!) tiles by 3rd-party manufacture

Of course, depending on what your significant other thinks of this, you may be eating your breakfast alone from now on. :D

Re: Heroscape water (& more!) tiles by 3rd-party manufacture

Well, other manufacturers can make toy bricks compatible with Legos, so maybe it's the same principle here.

Re: Heroscape water (& more!) tiles by 3rd-party manufacture

As far as I can tell, it's just a stencil you can use to spraypaint the hex pattern on any surface you desire.
