Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
So miniatures look better with a .2mm nozzle?[/QUOTE]
Depends on the stl, really. Garbage in, garbage out in some cases. But I was having a problem with a Han Solo I made. The gun walls were too...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
A custom one. I use matterhackers soft pla, too many breaks and crazy glue with regular pla. So my temp is a bit higher, 230 C, and print speed is 25mm/s. So the prints do take a few hours to finish....

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
I have an Ender 3. The build is key, if there is any wobble or anything off it will ruin the prints. It took me about a month to get the hang of using the printer and get the profile settings tuned...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
Look for the siepie profile, it’s a good starting point. I tweaked there as I learned how to print. 1 tip, don’t use the cura default supports, they’re a pain. Use the tree supports (in the...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
This printer is well on the way to paying for itself. I’m getting better at painting, but still need to perfect the wash. I went a little too dark on some of the white parts. These are my finished...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
Looks pretty good to me. :)
I understand what you're saying about the shoulder, but I'm not much good at rotating limbs and sculpting either.

Thank you :)

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
So like I said I was messing around with Blender. I got a 3D model of Colossus from the internet that I could download as an obj file and imported that into blender. Then I rigged and posed the...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
I've watched so many of those videos already...it's to the point where if I don't buy one I'll feel like I wasted a crap ton of time. At least I feel like I'm well informed at what to...

So I got some real supplies, did a second coat, a black wash on everything, and a coat of modge podge to seal it. This looks much more presentable. Thank you so much for posting these stl files and...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
A few disclaimers: I can’t paint, this is the first mini I’ve ever painted, I was using my kids’ acrylic paints but the black and yellow were chunky (messing up the consistency of my gray and gold),...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
Sorry, I have another question. What do you guys put for height? The snap scale is nice where I just set the z axis and it scales the rest in proportion. I’ve been doing 28mm for medium characters....

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
TREX thanks for the tip, I didn’t realize you could rotate for the print, just assumed it was vertical. I’ll keep that in mind.
White Knight I had my heat up a little more than usual, but it was...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files
That’s all very helpful, thank you. I was using siepie’s profile from reddit, and it seems crazy slow and doesn’t seem to work for 28mm minis, I think some parts are too small. Good to see you’re...
